Bono, AR

Korbin Elliott Bigelow "Korby" passed away on October 3, 2023 in Bono, Arkansas, at the age of 34. Korby was born on July 18, 1989. He grew up in North Saint Paul, Minnesota, and graduated in 2007 from The Academy for Sciences and Agriculture (AFSA), a public charter school. Korby held numerous jobs through the years, but his true love was always gaming. He spent countless hours mastering the intricacies of his favorite games while building friendships with like-minded people all over the world. He also enjoyed the Renaissance Festival, partaking in cosplay with friends. Whether he was battling against other players in a video game or strategizing with his team in Magic: The Gathering card game, Korby's competitive spirit and sharp wit made him a formidable opponent. He had impeccable taste, occasionally indulging in "the one [thing] to rule them all," such as his prized sword. But, he was best known for his kindness, generosity, and humor. He was creative and artistic: most recently he mastered the art of resin-casting dice and planned to create custom chess sets. He was wonderful with both children and animals, and regularly volunteered at local animal rescues, with one of his favorites being Caring for Cats in North Saint Paul. He is survived by those who loved him most including his parents, Joseph and Laurie Bigelow of North Saint Paul, sister Keisha (Jake) Wiese and nephew Daniel Joseph of Minneapolis, brother Dylan (Katie Noren) Bigelow of Little Canada, grandparents Earl and Patricia Larson of Clear Lake, WI, Uncles and Aunts: Rick (MaryLou) Larson of Bastrop, TX, Wendy (Dennis) Schoggins of Clear Lake. Cousins: Charlee Larson of San Francisco, Frankie (Dan) Dharam of Madison, Erik (Bridget) Larson of Dallas, Jeremy Schoggins of Chicago, Chris Schoggins of Riverside, CA, Tena Schoggins of Clear Lake, and his pets: his beloved cat, Seton, and his corn snake, Snak. Korby was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Elizabeth (Betty) Bigelow. A celebration of life will be held for Korby at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is grateful for donations during this difficult time.

His family will forever miss his big smile, and the endless stories of the complex worlds and fascinating characters he's been building since early childhood. At his death, he was working on incorporating these worlds into novels and TTRPGs. Gabe had a special love for furry animals, especially chinchillas. He loved Legos, mini figures, Harry Potter, UB Funkees, beluga whales, Grogu, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons \u0026amp; Dragons, his online friends, and researching in prepping for a zombie invasion.
