Donald Eugene Henderson, 57, of Madison, IN, passed away February 21, 2024 at Norton Kings Daughters Hospital Madison, IN. Donald was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on February 26, 1966, a son of the late Helen Louise (James) and Willie B. Henderson. He was affectionately nicknamed “Farmer” by his family. Donald completed his high school degree through Madison Consolidated Schools and went on to obtain further life skills through Sandstone Industries. Donald enjoyed tinkering, putting together model cars, playing guitar, listening to music, and being around family. He also greatly enjoyed participating in various church services in his local community or offered in the nursing homes. Donald is survived by brothers Denver Henderson (Christina) of Independence, KY, Carl Henderson of Patriot, IN, Darrell “Buckwheat” Henderson of Richmond, IN, Robert Henderson of Patriot, IN, and Ronald Henderson of Patriot, IN; sisters Sue Cunningham (Clinton) of Florence, IN; Roseann Owens (Robert) of Patriot, IN, and Wilma Ollman (John) of Florence, IN; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by sister Anna Henderson on September 11, 2019. Visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Markland Funeral Home. Funeral will be Monday, February 26, 2024 at 1 PM with burial to follow at Cedar Hedge Cemetery. James Leo Huffington

Mr. James Leo Huffington, age 79, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on September 14, 1944 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late George A. and Helen Tingle Huffington. He resided in Jefferson County all of his life and graduated from Southwestern High School. James was raised in the Catholic faith with the Prince of Peace Catholic Parish. He was inducted into the United States Army on May 1, 1964 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He rose to the rate of Specialist Five during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on April 28, 1967 from Fort Meade in Maryland receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He remained in the Reserves until being discharged on April 30, 1970, On June 29, 1970 James was united in marriage to Anna R. Kiser in Madison, Indiana. This happy union of 53 years was blessed with sons, James Matthew and Todd and a daughter, Lara. He began his working career with Grote Industries where he worked for five years and had met his wife there. He retired after 35 years of service as a tool and die maker with Clifty Engineering in Madison, Indiana. He enjoyed caring for his lawn, watching IU basketball, listening to country music, and watching television. He was a beloved husband, dad, brother and uncle. James died on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 2:10 a.m. at the River Terrace Health Campus in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY James will be missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Anna R. Kiser Huffington of Madison, Indiana; his loving sons, Todd Huffington of Carmel, Indiana, James Matthew Huffington of Madison, Indiana; his loving daughter, Lara Huffington of Scottsburg, Indiana; his brother, Dennis Huffington of Delphi, Indiana; his sister, Marie Huffington Howard of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, George A. Huffington, died November 4, 2004, his mother, Helen Tingle Huffington, died April 19, 1992, his sisters, Mary Regina Huffington, died April 13, 1958 and Rosalie Huffington Means, died May 10, 2019, his sister in law, Lucille Huffington, died May 20, 2021, and his brother in law, Clabourn Russell Howard, died April 17, 2017. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Michael Cammack at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana, VISITATION Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana.MILITARY HONORSA final salute with military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Rose Marie "Ree" Hoffman Roberts, age 64, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on February 16, 1959 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Herman E. Sr. and Rozella Allen Hoffman. She was raised in Madison and was a 1977 graduate of Shawe Memorial High School. She then received her business administration degree from Indiana University Southeast. On April 22, 1978, Rose was united in marriage to Norman F. Roberts at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in downtown Madison. This happy union of 45 years was blessed with three daughters, Kristen, Kimberly, and Megan. She worked early in life for the Madison Chamber of Commerce as the small business development director for five years. She had also worked for the Ohio Valley Opportunities as a grant writer for five years. She retired from Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis as the compliance analyst after eleven years of service. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and had owned her own franchise "Great Clips" in Jeffersonville for twenty one years. She was a beloved wife, devoted mom and mamaw. She loved to help other small businesses and non profits. She was an avid reader, loved her flowers, working in her garden, like to cross stitch, and was a great seamstress and liked to sew. She fought a gallant battle with Alzheimer's and was lovingly cared for by her family at home since 2018. Rose died on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 6:00 a.m. at her home in Madison, Indiana with her loving family at her side. A LOVING FAMILY Rose will be missed by her loving husband of 45 years, Norman "Norm" F. Roberts of Madison, Indiana; her daughters, Kristen Long and her husband, Dave of Fishers, Indiana, Kimberly Roberts of Madison, Indiana, Megan Hicks and her husband, Brandon of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Mason, Matthew, Addalynn Rose, Taylor Rene', and Emma Grace; her sisters, Carolyn Stutler and her husband, Richard of Madison, Indiana, Mary Truitt of Fishers, Indiana, Mary Jean Faulkenburg and her husband, David of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; her brothers, Herman Hoffman, Jr. of Conroe, Texas, Fred Hoffman and his wife, Sonya of Hartford City, Indiana, Jim Hoffman and his wife, Resa of Madison, Indiana, Frank Hoffman and his wife, Lisa of Maineville, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman E. Hoffman, Sr., died Oct. 18, 2006 and her mother, Rozella Allen Hoffman, died December 10, 2003. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIALFuneral Mass will be conducted Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., by Father Christopher A. Mrs. Sherry Kay Criswell Craddock, age 75, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on June 28, 1948 in Vevay, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Charles Clarence and Beulah Brown Burnham Criswell. She was raised in Switzerland County and was a 1966 graduate of Vevay High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Ray Craddock on December 15, 1967 at the North United Methodist Church in Madison and moved to Madison to start their life together. This happy union of 56 years was blessed with a daughter, Melissa, and a son, Michael. She worked for King's Daughters' Hospital for forty years, twenty-five of those years as a medical assistant for Dr. Sue Stack. She was a member of North Madison Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She dearly loved her dogs, Bella and Buffie. Sherry died on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 4:35 p.m. at her home in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Sherry will be missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth Ray Craddock of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughter, Melissa Perry and her companion, J.D. Webster of Madison, Indiana; her loving son, Michael Craddock and his wife Kelly of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Landon, Brayden, Derek and his wife, Faith, and Kelsey; her sister in laws, Erma Jean Craddock of Madison, Indiana, Ruth Pettit of Hanover, Indiana, Marcia Adler and her husband, Danny of Crystal River, Florida, Terry Wildman of Madison, Indiana, Bonnie Hadley and her companion, David of Madison, Indiana, Vickie Ginn and her husband, Billy of Bedford, Kentucky, Delores Bird and Her husband, Rick of Hanover, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Clarence Criswell, died June 13, 1963, her mother, Beulah Brown Burnham Criswell, died July 8, 1995, her brothers, Charles Wayne Criswell, died March 22, 2004 and Terry Douglas Criswell, died May 11, 2007, her sister, Betty Jo Criswell Ayres, died October 19, 2001, her half brother, James Samuel Criswell, died May 23, 1996, her brothers in law, Jeff Wildman, died January 1, 2018 and Robert Pettit, Jr. died May 28, 2021.
