In later years she excelled at crosswords and word games. It was a proud day for anyone who beat her at Scrabble! After retirement she joined Town of Poughkeepsie's Club 60 and once more enjoyed weekly craft projects. At Lutheran Care she was always happy to tell us about her winnings at Bingo. She still did her crosswords and Jumbles every morning! Gerrie's family expresses their thanks to the staff at Lutheran Care Center especially those who kept her spirits up through the long months of the pandemic and treated her so gently during her final days. A special thanks to those planned her 100th birthday celebration. It was nice to see the big smile on her face that day!
