Kevin Smith Obituary

Kevin Lee Smith, age 61, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Talmage and Margie Smith and graduated from North Side High School. Kevin "Lee" worked as a custodial engineer for both IIT and the University of Saint Francis. He completed several years of culinary school and always enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his generosity and the loved he showed his family. Kevin "Lee" is survived by his children, Barbara Stepler, Larry (Maria) McGuire, Victoria Haas, James (Trisha) McGuire; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Calvin (Diane) Glover, and Theresa (Mike) Harrington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Julia K. Smith. Service is 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 11:00 am. Memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
