Ronald Stephen Klipfel died Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 74. He was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville, MO and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was born March 9, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Charles and Ann Klipfel. He graduated from St. Agnes High School in Springfield, MO and went on to get his degree in agribusiness from Southeast Missouri State University. Ron married Kathleen Werner on August 5,1972 and they had 2 children. He loved his family and making memories with them. He was a farmer all of his life and was an avid duck hunter. He was a board member at McCord Gin in Gideon and also served on the Little River Drainage District. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen Klipfel, of Gideon, MO; his daughter, Michelle. (William) Hubbard of Clover, SC; and his son, John Klipfel of Gideon, MO; and two granddaughters, Adrianna LaMar and Ellie Kate Klipfel. He is survived by his 5 brothers: Charles Glenn Klipfel of St. Louis, MO, Jerome (Cathy) Klipfel of Fenton, MO, Pete (Darlene) Klipfel of Portageville, MO, David (Kathy) Klipfel of Portageville, MO, Pat (Kathy) Klipfel of St. Charles, MO; and his 4 sisters: Judy Frentzel of Georgetown, TX, Bernadette Livingston of High Ridge, MO, Donna (Jerry) Conklin of Charlestown, IN, and Angie Klipfel of Hernando, MS. He is survived by his in-laws: Dr. Mary Frances Luckey of Cape Girardeau, MO, Deacon Brad and Diana Jones of Lohman, MO, Louis Werner ofCape Girardeau, MO, and Allen and Anita Toole of Cape Girardeau, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles, and Ann Klipfel. Visitation will be held at 5pm on Sunday, December 10th at DeLisle Funeral in Portageville, MO with the rosary being held at 7pm. Funeral services were held Monday December 11th at 10am at St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville with Fr. David Baunach officiating. Interment services were held at Portageville Cemetery. James Daniel Phillips "Danny "Danny was born on April 18, 1943, in Portageville, MO to the late Gus Phillips and Mae Richardson Phillips. He passed away peacefully on October 10, 2023, at the Nursing Center in Portageville MO with Aimee and his nurse Krystal at his side at the age of 80 years 5 months and 22 days. Preceding him in death was his parents, Gus Phillips, and Mae Richardson Phillips, his wife Vickie Phillips, one son, Cory Phillips, brothers, Charlie Phillips, Jimmy Wayne Phillips, Augusta Roy Phillips Jr. , and Donald Ray Woods, one sister Doris Elizabeth Dueker and a special friend, Judy Wyatt Hosford. Danny loved to talk, he loved to visit with family and friends and take them food or drinks. He loved watching Cardinal games with his special friend, Judy and even got her watching football with him. He was a die-hard Buccaneers fan. In his younger years he was a farmer in West Helena, AR. He was a car salesman in Sikeston at the time of his retirement. His time spent at the nursing center was memorable for the nurses and aids. He wore his cowboy hat, belt and belt buckle every day, so they started calling him "Cowboy" and it stuck. He leaves to cherish his memories, his 4 bonus daughters, Gayle Gremard, Lisa Hosford, and Aimee Hosford from Portageville, and Terry Hosford from Sikeston MO. Also leaving behind two sons and a daughter, Mark Phillips, Court Phillips, and Tarena Jackson all from Helena AR, two sisters, Linda Phillips Thomas from Kentucky, and Mary Alice Davis from Sikeston MO and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
