"Devoted wife, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and friend Alyssa Raybuck (Giannirakis), passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Alyssa is survived by her loving husband, William Raybuck, her sister Marina Giannirakis (fiancé, Will Singer), her parents Peter Giannirakis and Lynnlee Giannirakis (Ceccone), her wonderful grandparents Katie Giannirakis and David Ceccone, her incredible aunts and uncles, Leah and Angelo Savakis, Maria Giannirakis, and Lori and George Palmieri. Alyssa had an extremely close relationship with all of her cousins including Katie and Dana Savakis, and Anthony and Olivia Palmieri. Alyssa is also survived by her beautiful goddaughter, Sophia Esselburn and will be sadly missed by the Raybuck, Daise, Waid and Hughes families. Alyssa was a brilliant and passionate development specialist for local Cleveland nonprofits, including the Cleveland Zoological Society, The City Club of Cleveland, and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. She always strived to use her gifts to make the world a better place. Alyssa received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Political Science from John Carroll University, a place she loved dearly and where she made incredible friends. Alyssa loved Greek folk dancing, musicals, movie nights, beating Will at Jeopardy and her springer-doodle, Sally. She was an avid reader, buffalo chicken dip enthusiast and competitive card player. His long lists of accomplishments included, Law Clerk, US Court of Appeals, 6th District, Trust officer at Union Commerce Bank, Assistant Law Director and Prosecutor, City of Cleveland Heights, Assistant U S Attorney & Chief, Civil Section. He was admitted to practice in all Ohio Courts and the U S Supreme Court while in private practice since 1972. He also served as part time Acting Judge of the City of Cleveland Heights and the City of Shaker Heights Municipal Courts. Donald served as an Arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau, hearing officer for the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Health until recently. Donald was also a Life member of the Ohio Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Foundation and an active trustee for the Cuyahoga County Solders & Sailors Monument since 2015. Active community participant and homemaker Marjorie "Margie" Ann Heller, passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 79 with her adored family by her side. Margie was a member of The Temple-Tifereth Israel, and a board member of The Temple-Tifereth Israel Temple Women's Association. She was a past vice-president of Canton Realty Development and former executive. She served as a board member of the American Jewish Committee and a board member of the Jewish Family Service Association. Her community work included volunteering at the Gathering Place and in various areas of University Hospitals of Cleveland She was a former member of the Junior League of Cleveland and the Oakwood Club. Born in Canton, Ohio, Margie was a graduate of Old Trail School, Bath, Ohio and Katherine Gibbs College, Boston, Massachusetts. She moved to Shaker Heights in 1977 Margie enjoyed being with her family and friends, traveling, following the stock market and volunteering her time Margie was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Ralph Heller of Canton, and is survived by her daughters, Amy (Harlan) Goldman and Laurie (Daniel) Goetz. Clare Marie Keiser, age 86, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 8, 2024. Clare was born on November 19, 1937, in Conneautville, PA, to the late Mary Anna Keiser and Clarence F. Keiser, Sr.Clare was such a character! Looking past her often gruff exterior one could clearly see a very caring and sweet person. She wanted to make a difference and she did.Clare earned her nursing degree at The Spencer Hospital in Meadville, PA, and dedicated herself to a long and successful nursing career. In 1963, she began her life’s work as an operating room nurse at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked for more than 25 years. She spent the rest of her nursing career working for the Carnegie Surgery Center, also in Cleveland, and eventually retired from nursing at the age of 75. After her retirement, Clare continued to work at Maxim Healthcare, administering flu shots and other vaccinations, until she was 80 years old.Clare was a founding member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) of Greater Cleveland, Chapter 3608, in 1973, and held every leadership position possible with them. She also held leadership positions with the Greater Cleveland Nurses Association for over 40 years and was an active member of The Ohio Council of Perioperative Registered Nurses.Clare volunteered for MedWish, sorting surgical instruments to be donated to poor countries and villages overseas. She also dedicated herself to civic engagement and the general voting process by acting as a polling location volunteer with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.She is survived by her godchildren, Britt Evereth Taylor Jensen, Priscilla Taylor Hawkinson and Blackwell Oliver James "Bojay" Taylor, children of Theresa Evereth Taylor, Clare's longtime friend. And siblings Jeanne Wygand, Clarence Keiser, and Joseph Keiser. Preceded in death by siblings Rosalie Porfilio, Thomas Keiser, and Rita Loretta Stancliff. A service celebrating Clare’s life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11am at the Lakeview Cemetery Mausoleum in Cleveland, Ohio. Charles (Chuck) Lindenbaum, born December 7, 1946, passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Roberta (nee Epstein) for 53 years, father of Emily (Adam Savett) and Shari (Joel Hammond). Devoted grandfather of Gavin, Liam, Preston, and Sloane. Brother to Marjorie Mitzner and Anne Fischer-Teger (Michael). Son of the late Pauline and Jerry Lindenbaum. While Chuck was born in Laurelton, New York, on Long Island, he grew up in Miami Beach, Florida, graduating from Miami Beach High in 1964. Chuck was an accomplished athlete, finishing third in the state of Florida in high school wrestling. He came to the area on a wrestling scholarship to Kent State University, where he met his wife, Roberta. Chuck also played baseball and football in high school, and was an avid golfer for many years. After graduating from Kent in 1968 with a degree in business, Chuck spent his career in insurance and investments, spending 30 years with MetLife and then as an independent financial planner thereafter. Chuck was incredibly generous to many causes, including Cleveland-area nonprofits that served the needy. More than anything, Chuck loved spending time with his family, never missing a family celebration or leading the Seder at Passover. He was a devoted grandfather, keeping up to date on his grandchildren’s athletic and scholastic accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Chuck was a gregarious people person, maintaining childhood friendships while making new ones wherever he went. An avid Cleveland sports fan, Chuck rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Cavaliers, Guardians, or Browns. Chuck also managed a fantasy baseball team for several decades, enjoying the ups and downs of managing his team, Chuck Wagon. With his family and friends, Chuck also enjoyed traveling, whether it was annual road trips to see family in Florida or Washington, D.C., or one of many vacations with longtime friends.Chuck was a member of Park Synagogue for over 40 years.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 24 at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel at 1985 South Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights. Interment will be at Bet Olam Cemetery in Beachwood.
