Mr. Kenneth W. "Odie" Odom, 78, A VERY PROUD RESIDENT OF GLOVERVILLE, SC, husband of the late Margaret Kelley Odom and the late Jeanette Adams Odom, entered into rest on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Born in and a lifelong resident of Gloverville, SC, he was a son of the late Theodore and Juanita Odom. Odie was a retired Painter, having worked for Ronnie Heath Painting and Austin Industrial. Following his retirement, he began helping his niece, Roseann at the flower shop. He proudly and with honor served his country in the South Carolina National Guard, was a member of the American Legion Post #153 and attended Pine Grove Baptist Church. Odie loved and was loved by many people. He enjoyed fishing, making people laugh and being on the water. In addition to his wives and parents, family members include sons, Teddy Odom, North Augusta, SC and the late Kenneth W. Odom, Jr., brother, the late Isadore Odom and his wife, Doris, Gloverville, SC; a very special niece, Roseann Baughman and her companion, Robbie Jeffords, Gloverville, SC; special friend, Barbara Ann Farmer and her companion, Aubry Lynn, Burnettown, SC; nieces, Judy Hicks, Graniteville, SC and Debra Hughes, Gloverville, SC; several other nieces and grandchildren and a very special friend, Lewis Eubanks, who called or either went to see Odie daily. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Charlie Kelley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gene Carter, Bobby Kight, Lewis Eubanks, Billy Kight, Carlus Kight and Walter Busbee. Members of the American Legion Post #153 will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
