Kenneth Ray North, age 63, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at his residence with his family beside him in Huntington, IN. Kenneth was born on March 4, 1960, in Huntington, IN, to the late Ronald and LaVada (Stremming) North. He married Marianne Schmittler on July 17, 1998, and she survives and resides in Huntington. Kenneth was a truck driver for many years, and he loved cars and racing. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and a past board member of the Huntington County Humane Society. Along with his wife of 25 years, Marianne, he is survived by four sons, Deric (Abby) North, Indianapolis, IN, Chase (Ashley) North, Gas City, IN, Jordan Downey, Fort Wayne, IN, Taylor Downey, Roanoke, IN; one daughter, Amanda (Adam) Vogleman, Wabash, IN; two sisters, Rhonda (Jerry) Martin, Huntington, IN, Donna (Andy) Purviance, Carlsbad, CA; 9 grandchildren, Dayton North, Kyler North, Viktor North, Jeremiah Vogleman, Jaxton Vogleman, Broderick Downey, Korbin Downey, Kalvin Downey and Alejandra Downey. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 10:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. , followed by a Service to Share Memories at 1:00 p. m. at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750. A private burial will be at a later date. SISTER DENNIS KERR, OLVM, age 97, a resident of Saint Anne's Community, Victory Noll, Huntington, Indiana, died on the evening of Monday, December 4, 2023. Sister Dennis was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 21,1926, to William Kerr and Florence (Roberts) Kerr. Five sisters, Florence Reeser, Stella Stuart, Mary Ellen Sommerville, Dorothy Maloney, and Josephine Kudla, along with four brothers, George Kerr, James Kerr, and Robert Kerr and William Kerr Borle, precede her in death. Surviving sister are her nieces and nephews, along with her Victory Noll Sisters with whom she shared life and community for 75 years. Sister Dennis entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 30, 1947, and made first vows on August 5, 1950. She served in the states of Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Michigan, New Jersey, California and Colorado. Sister served in the ministry of catechetics and in the last years before she retired, she ministered at the Holy Spirit outreach center in Denver, Colorado. Sister Dennis returned to Victory Noll in 2012. The Vigil Service for Sister Dennis will be at 4:00 p. m. on Monday, December 11, 2023. The funeral liturgy will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 10:30 a. m. in Bishop Noll Memorial Chapel and if you would like to participate via livestream, please email victorynoll@olvm. org to request the livestream link for the funeral liturgy only. Dana was born on June 19, 1948, in Lake City, FL, to the late Kenneth and Wilma (Greene) Holmes. She married Charles Williams on July 6, 1979, and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2015. Dana was a homemaker. She loved her family and was a very kind and loving person. She was a member of the Church of God, Jackson, KY. Jan was born on July 28, 1943, to the late Chester Earl and Margaret Lucille (Clark) O'Banion. Jan is survived by her children, Shelly (Doug) Melchi, Markle, IN, Cindy (Dave) Fleeger, Bluffton, IN, and Greg (Julie) Ramp, Andrews, IN; brother, Pat (Judy) O'Banion, Huntington, IN; 7 grandsons, two great-granddaughters. She is preceded in death by four brothers, Ed O'Banion, Tom O'Banion, Bill O'Banion, Jim O'Banion; and two sisters, Mary Ann Zoda and Janet Kay Daugherty. Jan was a retired dietary aide from the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren now Heritage Pointe of Warren. Jan was a devoted Mom, Grandma, and friend. She was a wonderful cook and loved to feed people. She was a 52-year member of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority. She loved participating in activities at Heritage Pointe, including Bingo and ceramics. Jan had decided to donate her body to science to possibly prevent others from going through health issues that she did. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 9:30 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. , with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a. m. , at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Mitchell was born on April 20, 1976, in Goshen, IN, to the late Lowell D. and Debra Jean (Murray) McDonald. Mitchell is survived by his life partner of 27 years, Denise Barton, Huntington, IN; three daughters, Lynzee (Logan) Lawson, Layci McDonald, both of Huntington, IN, Shiann Pace, Portland, IN; two sons, Cody McDonald, Tyler Hall, both of Huntington, IN; twin brother, Mike McDonald, MI, brother, Shawn McDonald, Huntington, IN; two sisters, Michelle (Carl) Johnson, Huntington, IN, Lisa Baumgardner; and 11 grandchildren, Zoey, Carter, Emmitt, Isabella, Brettley, Zaylin, Zayven, Avelynn, Creed, Reece and Adalyn. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Maddie, Ruger and Sookie. Mitchell was a lab technician for 20 years at Schenkel's Dairy. He was a former member and past President of Proud Soulz MC. Mitchell loved spending time with his family and dogs. He enjoyed his motorcycle, loved to shoot guns, buying lottery scratch off tickets, and listening to music. There will be a private Celebration of Life for close family and friends.
