Kenneth Long Obituary

Kenneth Raymond Long, age 70 of Daretown, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at home. Kenny is the son of Arlene (Sims) Long and the late Jesse Long. He was born and raised in Daretown and graduated from Woodstown High School in 1970. Immediately after graduation, he joined the U. S. A. F. as a loadmaster where he had the opportunity to travel the world. Kenny spent the last several years living and working in Des Moines, Iowa, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and relaxing with his many friends and folks who treated him like family. After retiring six years ago, he came home to Daretown to live with and help care for his mother. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters & brothers-in-law, Barbara & Ervin Foote of LAC and Susan & Jim Heller of Quinton; his brother, Ric Long of Monroeville; his brothers & sisters-in-law, Stephen "Shorty" & Carol Long of Joplin, Missouri, Barry & Nina Long of Pilesgrove, and Jeff & Jackie Long of Pilesgrove; his brother-in-law, Jack Denham of Woodstown; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his four-legged pal, "Remi". In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Donna Denham, and his sister-in-law, Jane Long. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 26 th in the Pittsgrove Baptist Cemetery, 368 Daretown Rd. , Upper Pittsgrove. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Pole Tavern Ruritan, 42 Swedesboro Rd. , Monroeville, NJ 08343, or to the Daretown Fire Company, 25 Woodstown-Daretown Rd. , Elmer, NJ 08318.
