Kase Kirkland

Kase Kirkland

Age - 14

July 21, 2023

"Kase Michael Kirkland of Early, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on the afternoon of Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the age of 14 while doing what he did best- living his life to the fullest. Kase was born on March 17, 2009, to Jennifer Kirkland of Early, Texas and Brent Kirkland of Eastland, Texas. From the second he was born; we knew he would be legendary. It was apparent God had poured an abundance of confidence, love, leadership and integrity into him. He brought energy into every room he entered. If you didn't know who he was when he came in, you certainly did when he left. Kase lived life to the extreme and his love for the outdoors was unmatched. He would spend countless hours in the deer stand or travel the world with his Paw Paw to hunt whatever they could find. He could make a quick transition to the arena and be horseback until forced to come inside. Sasho, his loyal companion, was never far behind. Kase was a natural athlete and loved all sports, but football was his heart and soul. He always knew his Mammy would be there to video every single play. She was his biggest fan. He had BIG plans and was looking forward to his first season as an Early Longhorn. He was our prodigy. He enjoyed having his dad come watch him play. Kase took his big brother role seriously. He fiercely loved and protected Easton and Hagen. They never had to be afraid because they knew Kase always had their backs. This boy loved his Momma and wore that "Momma's Boy" badge loud and proud. He may have towered over her but he handled her gently and never allowed her to break a nail. Of all the wonderful things Kase has done, the most important thing has been the day he gave his life to Jesus. Kase was bold in his faith and often prayed with his friends and teammates. He loved Jesus with all his soul. His friends and family will never allow his infectious personality, quick wit and sweet soul to be forgotten. Kase is survived by his parents Brent Kirkland of Eastland and Jennifer Kirkland of Early, and his brothers Easton and Hagen Kirkland of Early; Grandparents Mike Batteas (Paw Paw) and Rebecca Batteas (Mammy), Sam Kirkland (Grandad) and Carolyn Kirkland (Mee Mee); Great grandmothers Bea Herrera (BB) and Doris Kirkland (Ninnie); Aunts and Uncles- Jessica Batteas, Jayce Batteas (Tia), Jamie (Boo) and Dan Davidson, Shelly and Chris Fanelli, Bryan and Cheri Kirkland, Jason and Natalea Kirkland; Cousins- Colton Herrera, Carson Herrera, Freddie Martinez, Aaron Martinez, Emily Belcher, Jaylee Mueller, Jaxon Mueller, Lukas Davidson, Stella Davidson, Maddie and Brenan Ehlers, Morgan Rawls, Brayden Kirkland, "Little" Sam Kirkland, Blaine Kirkland, Skye Kirkland; Bonus family Zac, Aidan and Teagan Melton as well as many extended family members, friends and teammates.
