Kenneth L. Ford September 10, 2023 Kenneth L. Ford, 93, of Lyncourt, passed away peacefully on Sunday. He was a native and life resident of the Syracuse area. Kenneth proudly served in the Army and was a lifelong member of McCavanaugh Pond Club. He was a lifetime follower of the Boston Red Sox and an Avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling in the Adirondacks. Kenneth was employed by Midstate Printing Corporation where he worked as a Lithographic Stripper. He was predeceased by his wife, Corrinne Ford in 2022. Kenneth is survived by his sons, Warren (Marybeth). Dan and Christopher (Susan); his grandchildren, Teresa (Eric), Michael (Kim), Brittany, Danielle (Andrew) and Max (Lauren); his great-grandchildren, Gabbie, Gia, Gracie, Emily, Ben, Cecilia, Mollie, Elijah and his nieces and nephews. Services and entombment will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Kenneth's honor to a charity of one's choice.

Edward "Ed" C. Puma October 14, 2023 Edward "Ed" C. Puma, 84, of Lyncourt, peacefully passed away on Saturday. He was born in Carbondale, PA and later moved to Lyncourt where he resided for 52 years. Edward was a graduate of Central High School and Onondaga Community College. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1958-1962. Edward retired in 1998 from the U. S. Postal Service where he had worked as a letter carrier. He was a communicant and usher at St. Daniels Church as well as the chairman of Bingo. Edward taught accordion in Rome, NY, he was a Cub Scout leader for Troop 17 B. S. , a defensive driving instructor for AARP, a Salina zoning board member, a member of the board of education for Lyncourt school, a lifetime member of the John Venditti Post 1 VFW, an avid gardener, and the champion of the 1954 spaghetti eating contest. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Marie; his parents, Carmelo and Mary Puma; his siblings, Antoinette, Joseph, Carmen, John, Benjamin, and Anthony. Edward is survived by his wife of 61 years and love of his life, Barbara Osborne Puma; his sons, Michael (Patricia), Anthony, and Edward; his grandchildren, Anthony Jr. (Jessica), Daniel (Tammy), Michael Jr. (Elena), Marissa (Brandon), Joseph (Lexi), Rebecca (Rudy), Maria, and Jourdyn; great-grandchildren, Liam, Aubrey, Ollie and Myra; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at St. Daniels Church with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, N. Y. Julia "Judy" (Lampreda) Loperfido September 1, 2023 Julia "Judy" (Lampreda) Loperfido, of Lyncourt, passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on September 1, 2023, at the age of 99. She was the daughter of Joseph and Adeline Lampreda. Julia leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life was a testament to faith, love and devotion. Julia was a source of comfort, and a pillar of strength. Her love extended far beyond her own children and grandchildren. Julia was a firm but loving mother who instilled in her children and grandchildren kindness, resilience, the importance of family and faith in God. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and a faithful servant to God. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Frank Loperfido; her brother, Peter (Sue) Lampreda; her sisters, Antoinette (Nick) Fanizzi, Ida (Sam) Panebianco, Anita Lampreda, Mary (Sam) Emmi, Josephine Lampreda, Angelina Lampreda, and Angela Lampreda. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Rogers, Teresa (Kim) Janda; her son, Frank (Rosaria) Loperfido; her grandchildren, Tom, Nikole, Lucia (Mike), Christopher, Francesca and Stella. Julia's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family and God will live on through her children and grandchildren. A private service was held at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse on September 6, 2023. Julia was laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, N. Y. Frank Anthony Palmisano Jr. , 59 of Lyncourt, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Frank grew up in Lyncourt where he played sports and enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He met his beloved wife as a teenager, they married a year after he graduated high school and celebrated 40 years of marriage with friends and immediate family last year. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved classic cars. His greatest love was for his family - whether you were a blood relative or "adopted" into the family. He worked at Syracuse China for almost 14 years, during the last 2 years while working there, he completed a degree in IT Systems Management. He started his career as a Desktop Technician and worked his way up to IT Operations Manager. He held various IT management positions at Community Bank, NA. over the last 20 years. He was preceded by his mother, Joanne (Lenway) Palmisano; in-laws Joseph and Rose Angiolillo; brother-in-law Joseph Angiolillo and sister-in-law Pauline Angiolillo. He is survived by his father, Frank Palmisano; wife Karen (Angiolillo) Palmisano; his children: Frank (Keri) Palmisano III, Nicole (Michael) Mastronardi, and Christopher Palmisano; his grandchildren: Arianna, Francesca, and Gabriella Palmisano; sisters: Sherry Cole, Deborah (Philip) Spencer, and Tracey (Eric) Fioramonti; sister in-laws: Elise Angiolillo, Lynda Angiolillo, Deborah (Philip) Kugler; as well as his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 11 from 4 to 6 PM at Word of Life Assembly of God Church, 12 East Oneida St. , Baldwinsville; with memorial service immediately following. Bridget Patricia Fitzgerald, "Aunt Patty", 89, of Lyncourt passed away peacefully after living many years with Alzheimer's Disease on May 6, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1933 in Syracuse, New York. Aunt Patty attended Blessed Sacrament School and she graduated from St. John's Catholic Academy. She worked with Daniel J. Murphy and Associates for New York Life Insurance until she was 76 years old. Aunt Patty was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church and a former bingo and luncheon volunteer. She was a devoted daughter, a special sister and an amazing aunt. Aunt Patty was gentle, soft-spoken, caring, independent and always had a beautiful smile and a sweet demeanor. She loved reading, gardening, old movies and baking her famous chocolate chip and holiday cut out cookies. Aunt Patty enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving, New Year's Day and St. Patrick's Day and it was always a treat for us. She loved to attend and cheer on all of her nieces and nephews whether it was a sporting event, a musical, a play, a concert, an art show or a dance recital. You could always count on Aunt Patty to be there. She was an avid fan of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football and the Brooklyn Dodgers. Over the years, Aunt Patty traveled to her favorite place, Ireland, to visit all of her special relatives. For Aunt Patty, her loyalty was always with her Catholic faith, her loving family and her Irish heritage. Aunt Patty was predeceased by her parents Susan Carroll Fitzgerald and Patrick Fitzgerald along with her sisters Rosaline Austin and Eileen Damon Angus. Aunt Patty was a loving and cherished aunt to her nieces and nephews: Debbie (Tom) Garvey, David (Brenda) Damon, Linda (Walter) Bliss, Donna (Eric) Pahl, Eileen (Mike) McGrath and Michael (Tracey) Damon. She was a beloved aunt to her 13 great nieces and nephews: Shannon(Randall) Proctor and Meghan Dimon; Dominique Damon; Stephanie(Andrew) Neuman, Lauren and Tyler Bliss; Katie and Rick Kretschmer; Alex, Jeremy and Daniel McGrath; Ryan Damon; and Terry Wanner. Aunt Patty was a dear aunt to her 4 grand nieces and nephew: Joel Dimon; Allison and Mary Kate Neuman; and Emra Wanner. Funeral services will be held in Blessed Sacrament Church on Tuesday, May 16th at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.
