Kenneth Walter Clough of Edison, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday September 7th, 2023 at the age of 79. Kenneth was born on October 26, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ to father Walter Cough and mother Mary Clough. He is survived by his wife Helen Clough; his children Alison Murphy, her husband Brian, his son Kenneth, his wife Diana and 5 grandchildren, Madison and Kaidan Murphy, Jude, Hudson and Logan Clough; his brothers Donald and his wife Diana Clough and Gary Clough. Kenneth served in the Army National Guard from 1964 through 1970. He was a staff accountant at PSE&G for 35 years before retiring. He was an avid golfer and an all around sports fanatic. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in their sports of choice with his first love being for baseball specifically. A memorial mass will be at Our Lady of Peace Church Fords, NJ on Thursday September 14th , 2023 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his name to St. Jude's Hospital.

Alice Vahey of Newton, formerly of Edison, NJ and Cranston RI, died on November 23, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) Vahey. She was the beloved mother of Stacey Richard and her husband Ted of Auburndale and Ted Vahey and his wife Maureen, also of Auburndale, sister of Edward Lynch and his wife Carroll of Centerville, the late William Lynch and his wife Maureen, and twin of the late K. Ann McGrath. She is also survived by grandchildren Aidan and Logan and by many cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Alice loved to banter and joke with friends and family. Everyone knew if she teased you, you had made it to her inner circle of friendship. She was passionate about education and was a PTA president while her children were in elementary school. She was actively involved at The Cathedral of St. Francis in Metuchen, NJ where she was a Religious Education teacher, working with students across multiple grades. She was also a seamstress of liturgical garments and tapestries for the Cathedral and was a Eucharistic Minister at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park. She enjoyed spending summers with friends and family at the beach, from Cape May Point, NJ to Cape Cod, MA. If she wasn't walking along the beach, you could find her collaborating on a jigsaw puzzle or playing a competitive game of cards. After graduating from Newton High School, she worked at Liberty Mutual in Boston, The Waltham Watch Company, and the Watertown Arsenal. Later in life, she worked for AT&T, starting off in the secretarial pool, transitioning to the benefits department, and working her way up to the role of Pension Fund Administrator for all of AT&T. Funeral from the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St. (Rte. 16) West Newton, Saturday, December 2 at 8 A. M. , followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Antoine Daveluy Parish at Corpus Christi, 45 Ash St, Auburndale at 9 AM and interment in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday evening 5-7 PM. Mr. Rakeshbhai Patel, 50, left many stunned by the announcement of his death on Thursday, November 23, 2023, in the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Family and friends are invited to the visitation which will be held in the crematory chapel of Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 9:30-11:30AM. Following the visitation and religious services, the cremation with witness will follow. Rakeshbhai, the son of the late Ramanbhai Patel and the late Jayaben Patel was born in Kavitha, Gujarat, India. He came to the United States in 2015, living in Edison, New Jersey before settling in Colonia , New Jersey five years ago. Rakeshbhai was a humble man who loved a good joke, and he was usually the one telling them! He had a heart of gold in that if you needed help with anything, you knew you could turn to him. If it was new tires for your car, a new smartphone, or a nice winter coat - even if you only mentioned it in passing, Rakeshbhai probably knew someone who could get you a great deal. Family was everything to him and he loved spending time together. It didn't matter if it was for a big party celebration or just sitting around the living room having a simple conversation. Rakeshbhai is survived by his three sisters, Alkaben Patel, Gitaben Patel and Sangitaben Patel and his several nieces and nephews. Rakeshbhai had an abundance of love for everyone in his circle and his loss leaves behind many broken hearts and tear-filled eyes. "Teddy Taylor, 81 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Born Saturday, October 31, 1942 in Staten Island, New York, Teddy was the son of Matthew and Doris Taylor Teddy was raised in the Dongan Hills section of Staten Island and was a graduate of New Dorp High School. Teddy graduated from the American Institute of Banking in 1967. He would further his education at Pace University. Teddy began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in 1960 rising to Senior Vice President, retiring in 1992. He joined New York Community Bank (formerly Richmond County Savings Bank) in 1993 as a business Development officer, later advancing his career to Senior Vice President, Regional Executive. Teddy served on the Board of Directors for the Staten Island Mental Health Society for 20 years and became a Trustee for the advancement of Mental Health. He chaired the Annual Ball several times. Teddy also served on numerous charitable committees including the Staten Island Zoo and The NYBC. He chaired fundraising events for Saint John\u0027s University for many years. Through his role as Regional Executive, he has also supported many not-for-profit organizations including the Executive Director at the inception of the Staten Island EDC. Teddy would meet the love of his life on Staten Island. Norma \u0027Arlene\u0027 Bradley, who grew up on the same street. The couple would eventually marry, and start a family of their own on Staten Island, before settling in Old Bridge in 1974 to raise their children. Teddy enjoyed golfing and playing poker. He was a loving and caring family man who will be missed by all those that love him. Teddy was predeceased by his brother Thomas. Teddy is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Arlene, by his loving children, Matthew and his husband Lane Melcic, and Karen Wickham and her husband Bill, by his caring brother Matthew \u0027Nicky\u0027 and by his cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Ryan, and Jennifer. "Steve Picciano, 70 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Born Thursday, October 29, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York, Steve was the son of Eugenia Pepi and the late Anthony Picciano. Steve would grow up in Brooklyn before moving to Staten Island. There, he graduated from Tottenville High School. Steve would start a family in Staten Island before settling in Old Bridge in 1983. Steve worked for many years in Restaurant Management. Most recently, he worked for Muscle Maker Grill. However, his efforts extended to many well-known chains, some even local. He worked at Beefsteak Charlies in Edison, opened the World Trade Center Burger King, and also opened the Friendly\u0027s on Ferry Road here in Old Bridge. Steve\u0027s hobbies and interests were broad and active. He would often be seen watching baseball and football games, both on television and at the stadiums themselves. A New York native, his favorite sports teams were the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He also enjoyed golfing, and stuck to a strict regimen of working out to stay in shape. Above all, Steve enjoyed grilling and spending time surrounded by his family. In his hobbies, as well as the efforts that his work put into local establishments, his memory will live on. He will be missed by all those that love him.
