Dr. Keith J. Abercrombie of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully at the age of 81 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Keith was born on November 28, 1941, in Kansas City, KS. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred L. Watson; stepfather, Wilton W. Watson; and brother, Everett Abercrombie. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Abercrombie (Genny Nicholas) of Kansas City, MO; his nephews, Allen, James and John Abercrombie; his aunt, Doris Wilson; and many cousins. Keith graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1959, serving as class President and earning numerous scholastic honors and athletic letters in football and baseball. He attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He played baseball at KU as their catcher, sporting a team leading . 345 batting average. He also played baseball in the Ban Johnson league for several years. After graduating from KU in 1963, Keith then went on to attend medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, graduating in 1967. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He served his internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He then completed a one-year General Surgery residency at UCLA. He returned to the University of Kansas School of Medicine where he completed a residency in Urology. He was a member of the Naval Reserves. He enjoyed a successful Urology practice in Kansas City for over 40 years. He also traveled weekly to surrounding areas in Missouri for many years, offering specialized Urology care to underserved communities. He was a long-time member of Indian Hills Country Club. Throughout his lifetime, Keith enjoyed many sports, particularly golf, as a competitive athlete and spectator. He also loved to travel and was fortunate to see many beautiful places throughout the world with family and many friends. He was an avid card player, whether it was canasta, poker, gin rummy or bridge. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and his many long-time friends. Keith's family attended a private funeral mass and burial. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's and Dementia Research at the University of Kansas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.

Kennith Wayne Suter, August 3, 1936 - December 2, 2023. Kenny passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was born on August 3, 1936, in Gunter, Texas and married the love of his life, Nancy in 1957. Kenny was devoted to Nancy for 65 years until she passed away in January of this year. Kenny was so very loved by his wife, his children, grandchildren, great grand children and every one who ever knew him. He was known to be a very honorable and kind man with a heart of gold. Kenny came from very humble beginnings. Born and raised on a farm, working the cotton fields, and raising most all their own food. When he was 15 he had a dream that he would own his own business, buying and selling for a profit. At 16, he was hired by a service station in Gunter, Tx. where he pumped gas and cleaned windshields. That company was Hudson Oil. That was the beginning of his career in the Petroleum Marketing Business. Kenny joined the U. S. Army Reserves in 1956 at the age of 20. He became a Sergeant First Class. He spent 6 years in the Reserves. Kenny opened his first service station in 1963. At one point he owned and operated 18. At 87 years young, at the time of his passing, he still operated one store in Princeton, Mo. He so loved his work to his dying day. During his career, he became involved with the Missouri Oil Marketers Association. and the Kansas Petroleum Marketers Association. He lobbied for and against laws that affect marketers and convenience stores. He became President of the Missouri Marketers Association in 1993 and President of the Servco Corporation which was owned by the Kansas Petroleum Marketers Association. He was very proud of his career in the Petroleum business. Always a man of honesty and integrity. Kenny is survived by 3 sons, 3 daughter-in-loves, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. They will miss their "pops", their grandpa Kenny, their Papa Kenny as he was called. He was a very special man and will be greatly missed by so many. Emanule William Taylor, Sr. was born September 24, 1982, in Kansas City, KS to William G. Boyd and Linda (James) Franklin, both of KC, KS. Proceeding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Otha and Marjorie "Annie" Davis; maternal grandparents, Edroy and Gloria Taylor; father, William Boyd Sr. ; twin daughters, Myjane and Myciya Taylor; uncles, Donald Taylor. Anthony (Corey) Taylor Sr. , and Maurice (Michelle) Sidel III; aunts, Janette (Rodney) Brantley and Karita Mays; brother, Thomas "TJ" Robinson; cousins, Antonio Taylor, Keith "Spanky" Haskell Jr. , and Charles Phoenix, all of Kansas City, KS. Emanule, Known as "Mannie" de Magnificent, accept Christ at an early age. He attended Schlage High School here in Kansas City, KS. Mannie kept the tradition, following his uncles, in making sure his people could get to where they needed to go by repairing vehicles. He labored in metal work for Brown Cargo Van in Lawrence, KS; factory work for D&J Labelling of Lawrence, KS and also provided landscaping services for the Woodland Village Apartment Complex of Leavenworth, KS. True to his label, Mannie believed, and lived, like his family came first. He was a true "Momma's Boy. "Linda "Kay Kay" says, "My baby boy will be very missed, as he played a significant part in providing whatever we might need," she said, "he was a jack of all trades and a master at none. " Mannie spent an extensive amount of time in Fountain Hill, Arkansas, where he took a liking to camping, fishing, deer hunting and lake swimming. He brought his love for country life back home, as he hosted several camping events, being sure to see that as many family members would attend, as often as possible. Mannie leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Linda Taylor; five children, William L Taylor (22), Emanule W. Taylor (22), Manniya Taylor (19), Elanyha Taylor (14) and Elyjah Taylor (9); two grandchildren, Londyn (William) Taylor (3) and Mykel (Manniya) Rae (1); brothers, Edroy Taylor Sr. , William (LeeAnne) Boyd Jr. , DeMarckus Taylor Sr. , and Walter Robinson; sisters, Tamica (David) Banks, Martice Taylor, and Marcy Taylor, all of Kansas City, KS. "Stanley Joseph Demster, a distinguished Mechanical and Electrical Engineer from the University of Kansas with an unwavering passion for innovation and safety, passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 75. Born on March 8, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the beloved son of his mother, Lee Demster and father, Peter Joseph Kobe. Stanley\u0027s illustrious career as an engineer spanned across various sectors, leaving an indelible mark on the field. He was recognized as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer holding a PE Seal across 26 states. His professional journey included pivotal roles within esteemed institutions such as the FAA, VA DIT (Department of Information Technology), and various private engineering firms. Notably, he founded and led two successful consulting businesses, NMP (National Micro Products) and KJD Services, showcasing his entrepreneurial acumen. His work transcended geographical boundaries, leading him to conduct commercial engineering endeavors globally, touching numerous countries such as Taiwan, China, and England. Stanley\u0027s ingenuity was evident through his inventive spirit, holding an impressive tally of 17 patents. His innovations ranged from commercial underfloor air conditioning, thermostats, smoke detectors, to key locks, and the groundbreaking \u0027Ride all in one wheelchair\u0027 among numerous other pioneering concepts. Bradley Wayne Eldridge, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 1, 2023, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on January 8, 1969, in Jacksonville, Illinois. Bradley's untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Brad had an illustrious career as a diesel mechanic. He worked tirelessly at Gully Transportation before venturing out on his own to establish Mico Transportation and Mico Repair in Grain Valley, Missouri. His dedication to his craft and commitment to excellence earned him the trust and admiration of his clients. A graduate of Lincoln High School, Brad valued education and always strived to learn new things. While his professional achievements were admirable, it was his warm and genuine personality that truly set him apart. Bradley never met a stranger; he had an extraordinary ability to connect with people and forge lasting friendships wherever he went. His ornery humor and magnetic presence would light up any room he entered. Above all else, Brad cherished his role as a father. He was an exceptional parent who loved his children unconditionally and supported them in every aspect of their lives. Their happiness meant the world to him, and he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to their well-being. In his spare time, Brad found solace in the great outdoors. He had a deep love for nature and sought refuge at his cabin in Mark Twain Forest. Whether it was canoeing along tranquil rivers or embarking on exhilarating off-road adventures with his four-wheeler, Brad found peace and joy in these outdoor pursuits. Brad was active in the Boy Scouts of America with Troop 605 and a member of Mic-o-say as Thundering Black Sky. Brad is preceded in death by his parents; Wayne Eldridge and Phyllis Neff, and his grandmother; Lillie Peters. He is survived by his wife and love of his life; Carrie Eldridge, his children; Mike Eldridge (Sarah), Emily Eldridge (Nick), Jared Eldridge, Jake Dwyer, Tyler Dwyer, and Ryan Dwyer, his granddaughters; Malia Eldridge, Morgan Eldridge, and Tapanga Soberalski and her mother; Emilee, his very special aunt and uncle who cared for and loved him as his own; Donna and Steve Blanford, his pups; Oreo, Leo, and Moose, and his cats; Mogley and Freeway. Brad's life will be celebrated through two meaningful events. The visitation will take place on December 8, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel located at 18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to share fond memories and offer support during this difficult time. The funeral service will be held the following day, December 9, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM. The family will have a private interment for Brad in Potosi, Missouri at a later date. Barbara Ann Scott-Johnson, age 85,Barbara Ann (Woods) Scott-Johnson passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023. Barbara (Barb) was born 2/11/38 in Kansas City, Kansas to George and Madge Emma (Eads) Woods. She had 2 older brothers, George, Jr. (Sonny), and Jim. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1956 and was a class officer in several of her high school years. While there, she was involved in many clubs and activities. Barb has lifelong friends from Frances Willard Grade School to Wyandotte High, which was a testament to her loyalty and her genuine friendship. Barbara married Dale Scott in 1956 and, together, they had three children - Debbie, Dale, Jr (Scotty) and David. In 1987, she married Paul Johnson. Paul and Barb enjoyed golf, bowling, travel and had many friends that accompanied them on their travels. Paul passed away in 2011 after Barb lovingly took care of him at home. She was an active member through the years of Muncie La Sertoma, Opti-Mrs, Wesley United Methodist Church, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. In addition to being a great mother, Barb was a respected businesswoman, her love of people made her a natural in sales. Starting with selling Avon while her children were young, then part-time real estate, and then working with Carpet Corner from its infancy to becoming one the region's largest flooring retailers. She opened several stores as manager in a time when women were not prominent in those roles, all the while never missing any of her kids' activities. Of her many accomplishments in life, her proudest achievements were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even though she had success in business, her fondest and most fulfilling years were spent raising her children and watching them grow. Barb was a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Donating countless hours, helping to ensure Wesley stayed open in times when many of the older churches in the area closed their doors. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, George and Madge Woods, brothers, George, Jr. (Sonny) and Jim Woods, and her loving husband, Paul Johnson. Barb leaves behind her 3 children: daughter, Debra (Tom) Steinmetz, sons, Dale Jr (Karen) Scott, and David (Kathy) Scott, and daughter-in-law Sherri Bailey-Scott. Six grandchildren: Deanna (Stephen) Sheets, Tommy Jr. (Erin) Steinmetz, Trisha (P. J. ) Dhabolt, David Scott Jr. , Trey (Lauren) Scott and Brett Scott. Soon to be 9 great-grandchildren, Dia, Rhiannon, Brigit Dhabolt, Dylan and Evan Sheets, Tatum and Mara Steinmetz, Allie Rae Scott, with another great-grandson on the way. Barb's loving children would like to thank the staff at the Piper Assisted Living for welcoming and taking such good care of mom in her final days, especially Janneice, Sydney, and Paula, just to name a few. Their loving care was truly felt by our mom. We would also like to thank Faith Hospice and their wonderful staff for helping mom have a peaceful end of life.
