With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Delores Hamler-Brown, a beacon of light in the lives of many. Delores was born to Margaret Hamler on May 23, 1942 in Alexander, Illinois. She touched the hearts of all who crossed her path. Delores was more than just a beloved family member and friend as her love knew no bounds, and she poured her heart and soul into every relationship she cultivated.Her passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her, but her memory will forever be cherished. Delores’ legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she shared. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her memories will always be remembered by her many cousins and friends. Delores will be dearly missed.Delores passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and unwavering strength. Her mother, Margaret Hamler; uncles: Oatha Hamler, Emmanuel Hamler and Dorsey Hamler; aunts, Edgie Hamler and Mary Hamler all preceded her in death.She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her aunt, Velma Hamler; cousins, Toni Ann Martin and Princess Hamler; a host of loving relatives and friends.With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! Church Mother Linda Sue Allen was born to the late Betty Mae Jones and Curtis Williams on November 12, 1949, in Lena Mississippi. She married Willie Daniel Allen on April 21, 1967. She grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Shortridge High School.She grew up in the Church of God in Christ and was a faithful member of Sanders Temple. As an adult, she became a Church Mother at Compassion Temple under the leadership of Elder Wynn Sanders, and later Assembly of Faith under the leadership of Elder Jimmie Williams. She was also a daycare director.Linda loved her family, shepherding and caring for those around her. Her nieces and nephews loved to be with her, knowing her as ‘Aunt Ninny.’ She was outgoing and loved to cook. She was a very stylish woman and loved to shop for perfume. She loved to sing, and above all loved the Lord, serving Him faithfully.Those who have gone before her include her grandchildren Blossom Latasha Allen and Christopher Gregory Richardson; siblings Ida Faye Spears, Betty Carol Anderson, Kathy Davis, Darrell Williams, and Johnny Williams. Also her grandparents Ed and ‘MaEmma’ Emma Johnson, Savanna Johnson, and LV and Addie Williams.She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Willie Daniel Allen; her children Willie Daniel, Jr. Allen (Brenda), Yolanda Allen, Ebony Allen; grandchildren Tatiana Allen, Jason Smith (Ashley), Antawn Allen (Alyssa), Emmanuel Richardson, Daniel Allen, and Nancy Thompson; siblings Curtis Williams, Elder Jimmie Williams (First Lady Shirley), Joseph K. Sarabeth Ogden, 94, of Indianapolis passed away on February 23, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1929, to Harry and Marie (Hockman) Fry. She married Robert H. Ogden, and they had six children together.When she was not taking care of her husband and children, Sarabeth was employed as a school bus driver, and later, she and her daughter started their own business, the Dust Masters, cleaning people's homes. She also was a "taxi driver" for her children driving them to various activities and athletic practices because it enabled her to spend as much time as possible with her family. Family was incredibly important to Sarabeth. For the most part, she enjoyed staying home with her family rather than going out, although she did enjoy traveling to Ft. Wayne on occasion to see her two brothers and two sisters, and on Sundays, she and daughter, Tamie would attend mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Sundays also had Sarabeth cheering on the Colts, and her favorite player, Peyton Manning. Sarabeth enjoyed cooking for her family, and her husband and kids appreciated it too. They usually couldn't restrain themselves from devouring her delicious cheesecakes, for which she was well known. Sarabeth also enjoyed dancing with her husband to the jitterbug and watching movies, particularly comedies.Sarabeth is survived by her children: Robert, Tamie, Thomas, and Jeff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Ogden; and two of her children, Anita and Mark.Services for Sarabeth Ogden will be held at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services at 1604 W. Morris St., Indianapolis, on Monday, March 4, 2024. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 1:00-2:00PM, and a funeral service will immediately follow the visitation. Sarabeth will then be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery - Indianapolis.

Joyce Marie Frankenberger, 63, Indianapolis, IN, gained her angel wings on February 24th of 2024. Joyce was born and spent her life within the Indianapolis, IN area, making a difference in the lives of all those she was surrounded by and came into contact with. Joyce was blessed with two children, Stacy Lynn Jones and Amanda Kay Klinge (Mandy), and her children meant the world to her. Though she loved fishing, racing, football, and getting to take a ride on a Harley. Joyce’s favorite role was as a grandparent (many titles ). She treasured her time with her grandkids and loved being a part of their lives. Joyce will always be remembered for her caring and giving ways. We couldn’t have asked for a better Mom, grandmother, sister, or aunt and will miss Joyce every day. The memory of her will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Joyce is survived by Stacy Jones (Christopher), Amanda Klinge (Joseph), Grandchildren: Sara, Carma, Skylar, Shyla, and with 2 Great Grandchildren Franklin and Nova. Joyce had a lot of other family and friends , and she survived by including those who looked to her as a mother and Maw. Joyce was preceded in death by Virginia M. Brown, Mother, Brenda Vititoe, Sister, Beverly Strother, Sister, and best friend Jack. A celebration of the life of Joyce Frankenberger will be held on March 16th of 2024 between 2-5:00 pm at the Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250.In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Community Garden directed by Stacy Jones. Donald Ivan Lewis, age 93, of Indianapolis, Indiana died Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Born August 20, 1930, in Brookville, Indiana, he was the son of the late Dewey and Emma (Schutt) Lewis. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to the former Arbia Faye Knupp on February 14, 1959 and she preceded him in death on December 31, 2017. Don was retired, having been self employed for much of his life in the insurance industry in Indianapolis, Indiana.Don loved being a father, coached his children in many sports and never missed a game, school event or a bad dad joke. Many believed he raised his children like wild animals, but who’s to say. He was ahead of his time in that he taught his boys that cooking, washing dishes,and laundry were not “women’s work”. He taught his daughter that she could do anything a man could do. He always wanted his children to do better than he had. He was very proud of the educational and professional achievements of his children and grandchildren. Survivors include four children, Michael Andrew (Kim) Lewis, of Cincinnati, Ohio, David Ellis(Sue) Lewis, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Scott Douglas Lewis of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Sara Jane Waits of Louisville, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, and wife Faye, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lewis and one grandchild, Grace Emma Lewis The Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion honor guard will officiate the Military Graveside Service at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville. Beyond his talents, Josh radiated loyalty and deep affection for his chosen family. To Josh, friends were more than just acquaintances. He believed in speaking his mind and wearing his heart on his sleeve, knowing that life was too short for anything less than honesty.
