Obituary of Kay Meeks Mrs. Dora Kay Treat Meeks age 60 of Tracy City departed this life Friday, February 15, 2019, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. She was a native of Modesto, California and had moved to Tennessee as a child, a daughter of the late William Cebis Treat and Sarah Jane Reagan Treat who survives her. Kay was a nurse at Erlanger Hospital for nearly 25 years and was working at The Waters at Winchester at the time of her death. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Benton Meeks; sons, Jesse Estes, Benton William and Jonathan Meeks; brother, John Treat. Survivors include her mother, Sarah Jane Treat; brother, Paul Treat; sisters, Margie Meeks and Polly Treat; best friend, James Smartt; grandchildren, Shasta Meeks, Dara "Bear" Meeks and Christopher Baker; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Elder Franklin Hill officiating. Burial will be in Clouse Hill Cemetery.
