Katie Ellen Garrison, 41, of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed away peacefully, on October 5, 2023. She was born February 15, 1982 in Clinton, Arkansas. Katie graduated from Leslie High School in 2000 and then received her bachelor's in management marketing at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She was instrumental in developing the marketing program alongside her husband, Joe, for GRT Race cars. She was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of two; but she never let that slow her down. Katie was generous, loyal and loved to be with her family. She was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church in Greenbrier where she went on several mission trips, staying active even after being diagnosed with cancer. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dee Garrison Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Jolie Kate Garrison; mother, Pamela (Kirk) Bostwick; father, George (Sherry) McIntosh; brother, Michael David McIntosh; sister, Nakisha Cook; Aunts, Kathy Castleman, Virginia (Mike) Riley; Uncles, Joe (Ann) McIntosh and Bob Castleman and cousins, Elizabeth (Matt) Kyle, Mike Mark, Kate (Reed) McCord, Michelle (Matt), Rachel (Jon) Isbell, Jonathon (Monica) McIntosh and Joseph McIntosh. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Crosspoint Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crosspoint Baptist Church or the Charity of your choice.

Glenda Sue Loggains, age 81 of Greenbrier, Arkansas departed from this life into her eternal rest on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on August 10th, 1942 to Adam James Reid and Mabel Glenn Reid. Glenda loved her family, especially spending time with her sister, Virginia Lee. She also loved her fur babies that she had in her life-they gave her great joy and love. She had a strong work ethic, which started with working on the farm picking strawberries and tomatoes. Glenda worked in various capacities, but she enjoyed being a cook the most. Her last job was being a cook at Bob's Grill in Conway, Arkansas. Glenda demonstrated grace, courage and strength while dealing with her failing health. The family is extremely grateful for the excellent care she received at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenbrier, Arkansas for the last eleven plus years. She was lovingly known as ''Grandma''. They were her family and she loved them. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Earlene Carter (David-her favorite) of Greenbrier; granddaughter, Tina Kittridge of Damascus; step-grandchildren, Josh Carter and Matt Carter, both of Greenbrier; two great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; her sister, Virginia Lee Ragland of Marshall; sister-in-law, Davelene Reid of Springdale; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Betty Smith of Siloam Springs, Joel Ragland (Cheryl) of Clinton, Windell Ragland of Marshall and Alan Reid of Springdale. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mabel Reid; her son, James Loggains; and five siblings, Daisy Horton, Houston Reid, Margie McGinty, Roy Reid and Earl Reid. May her soul rest in eternal peace reunited with her dear loved ones that have gone on before her. Funeral services for Glenda will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. William Leon Weldon, (AKA) Nubs, Bubba, Papa or Uncle Buddy, 88 of Greenbrier, AR, went to be with the Lord, November 10, 2023. He was born April 29, 1935, in Gabbyville, Georgia to William Henry and Mildred Weldon. William was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Carolyn Weldon, his son, Jimmy Dewayne Weldon and his parents. Leon enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting but most of all spending time with his family. After retirement he enjoyed hanging out and drinking coffee with his retired friends in Greenbrier and also watching old westerns. He dedicated his life to the service of our country with 40 years of military service Active-duty Air Force, serving in the Korean War, and in the Arkansas Air National Guard. He retired from the military as a MSGT E-7. He also worked Civil Service at the 314th Civil Engineer Squadron, Little Rock Air Force Base for 33 years and retired as the Carpenter/Mason Shop Superintendent. Leon is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Keesee, (husband Larry Keesee); grandson, Justin Weldon, (wife, Jolene Weldon), granddaughter Bridgett Tucker, (Husband, Justin Tucker), grandson, Prestion Kennedy, (wife, Cassidy Kennedy), granddaughter, Courtney Kennedy, step grandson, Andrew Keesee, (wife, Alicia Keesee), step granddaughter, Elizabeth Fontanez, (husband, Adrian Fontanez), five great-grandchildren; seven great-step grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Janice Mercer. Jerry Lynn Hartwick, 75, of Greenbrier, AR, went to be with the Lord, peacefully watching the sunset while tending to his beloved dogs, November 1, 2023. He was born September 30, 1948 in Conway, Arkansas to B. H. and Barbara Hartwick. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Hartwick and his parents. Jerry attended and graduated from Guy-Perkins School. He married his wife Beth and enjoyed 49 wonderful years, until her death. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Greenbrier, he also attended Copperas Springs and Antioch Baptist. After the passing of his wife Beth, he found love again with Ruth. The two were married and created treasured memories on their many adventures. They especially enjoyed attending church together and growing closer to Jesus as husband and wife. Jerry served our country in the Army National Guard for 23 years. Jerry worked and retired from Southwestern Bell after 37 years and he also was a Shriner and a Free Mason. Jerry was a member of Armstead Mountain Deer Camp, he loved to fish, and was an avid hunter. He loved to work and run his many, many dogs, Beagles, Bird Dogs, Squirrel Dogs and Walkers. Jerry was dearly loved by all and will be deeply missed, especially his morning coffee buddy's, when they attended their morning coffee class at Thunderbirds in Guy. Jerry is survived by his wife, Ruth Hartwick; sons, Brad Hartwick (Audra) and Cody Hartwick, (Penny); daughter, Brooke Worden (Dusty); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hartwick, Justin Hartwick, Lora Hartwick, Ally Hartwick, Sarah Worden and Wes Worden. Betty R. Webb, 81 of Greenbrier entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 18, 2023. Betty was born in Mt. Vernon, AR on July 25, 1942, to the late Harrel David and Evelyn (Rogers) Free, she was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Allena Miller; sisters: Sue Atkinson, Mary Hall; brother, Glynn Free; and son-in-law, Wayne Hartness. Betty was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Damascus, AR. She loved and cherished her church family and friends and enjoyed helping in VBS and other activities. After being a devoted stay-at-home Mom and homemaker while raising her kids for 14 years, she had a short stint of working at Polyvend before finishing her 16-year work career at Amtran. While Betty was an avid lover of the outdoors: hunting, fishing, and camping; she especially loved gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. Her greatest joy was having her family gather for special occasions, especially homemade ice cream. Regardless of where she was living, Betty created special bonds with many of her neighbors. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ralph Webb, Jr; Sisters: Margaret Nail (Jim) and Louise Mc Collum (Joe); Children: Danny Casteel (Norine), Janet Nokes (Randy), Donna Hartness, Ledna Johnson (JJ) and James Webb (Krystal); 10 grandchildren: Billy Casteel (Lori), James David Casteel (Alicia), Amy Whitener (Joe), Missy Nokes, Ricki Isom (Steven), Clay Hartness (Heather), Alyssa Johnson, J. B. Jackson, Corey Jackson (Keely), Colby Clark (Carleigh); 17 great-grandchildren: Jacob and Braden Casteel; Berkley, Harper, and Reed Casteel; Ben, Jon, Levi, and Emileigh Whitener; Harlee and Asher Hartness; Ella and Fisher Isom; McKenzie, and Minnie, Jackson; and Bailey and Tilley Jackson]; and a whole host of nieces, nephews and friends. Betty will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her, "Have a blessed day!" Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. "Joan Elizabeth McKenzie, 89, originally of Searcy, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at her residence in Greenbrier, Arkansas. She was born January 26, 1934 in Pangburn, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Arch Lee and Lucile Hays. Joan was a 1952 graduate of Searcy High School. She began a career with Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator that lasted over two decades. She then went to work for Vickers until she retired. She married the love of her life, Milburn McKenzie, and they spent 59 wonderful years together. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a caregiver for her parents, her husband's parents, and her husband. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Special occasions always included southern home-cooked meals. Chocolate pie and peanut butter fudge were her specialties. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melissa (Jerry) Bradley, Leah (Rick) Green, Laura Cooke, and Lana McMahan, her grandchildren, Leigh (Dallas) Taylor, Jason (Julie) Bradley, Todd (Erin) Green, Mac (Kristen) Cooke, Marcus (Tiffany) Cooke, Tyler (Chrissy) Green, Adam (Kristin) McMahan, Sarah (Patrick) Terry, and Ashley McMahan, her great grandchildren, Abigail Bradley, Aidan Bradley, Anna Bradley, McKenzie Taylor, Lydia Taylor, Nora Taylor, Georgia Green, Evie Green, Maren Cooke, Rowen Cooke, Jude McMahan, and Nevie McMahan, her sister, Ruby (Bill) Lane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn, her sons-in-law, Jon McMahan and Doug Cooke, her parents, her brothers, James Ardean Hays, Emmett L. Hays, and John Paul Hays, her sisters, Dora Mae McDaniel, Sybil Clay, and Polly West. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 a. m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas with her grandson, Todd Green officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 10:00 a. m. until 11:00 a. m. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Searcy, Arkansas.
