Kathryn A. PaquetteDecember 22, 1953 - April 12, 2023 Kathy Paquette, originally of Portland, ME and currently of Winnabow, NC, passed away on April 12, 2023 after a very brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Kathy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Carl Paquette; her mother Theresa Rague Colucci of Portland, ME; her son Michael Paquette, his wife Lisa and her daughter Katie Waldbaum of Jeffersonton, VA, and his daughter Elizabeth Watts, her husband Michael and their son Colin of South Portland, ME; her daughter Michele Nolan and her husband Matthew Underwood of Wilmington, NC and his daughter Hailey Laws and her family of Monroe, WI; and her daughter Lisa Paquette and her wife Alison Greenlie of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by her two brothers Thomas Colucci and his wife Melinda of Windham, ME and Stephen Colucci and his partner Sandy MacDonald of Falmouth, ME; her three god children, Kathy Decker, Taylor Gray and Chelsea Latham all of ME; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Thomas D. Colucci in 2007. Born in Portland, ME on December 22, 1953, Kathy graduated from Deering High School ('72) and attended the University of Southern Maine. She worked as an educational technician in the Portland Public Schools, managed various apartment complexes, was the secretary at North Deering Congregational Church, and ran her own house cleaning business, all in the Portland area. Kathy was a past member of the Italian Heritage Center where she served on the Scholarship Committee and chaired the Charity Committee. She was also a seven year member of BPOE (Elks Lodge #188) in Portland, ME where she served on various committees and chaired the House Committee. Kathy and her husband retired to North Carolina in December 2019 to be nearer to their children. There she made numerous friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Zimmer Cancer Institute and Lower Cape Fear LifeCare of Wilmington, NC for their amazing care and compassion during her month long battle with pancreatic cancer. A memorial celebration of her life will be held in late spring at the Elks Lodge #188 in Portland, ME.
