Graveside services for Kathryn Ann Havard, 74, of Diboll will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 10:00 a. m. in the Forest Haven Cemetery with Brother Matthew Tatum officiating. Ms. Havard was born April 12, 1949 in Texas to the late Bennie Rene (Waller) and Marshall Marcel Grace, and died Saturday, September 9, 2023 in a local hospital. Kathryn was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her favorite pastimes were reading and gossiping and she loved spending time with family. Kathryn was member of Gracepoint Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Linda Havard, Michael "Slim" and Ruth Ann Havard, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Levi Havard, Dalton Havard, Dakota Havard, Crystal Sachitano, Ashley Walker, Billy Kervin; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and special friend, Linda Racey; along with numerous other relatives. Mrs. Loving was born January 11, 1943 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Mary Alice (Coutchman) and Marvin Smithhart, and died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Loving's favorite thing to do was mowing her yard. She enjoyed Facebooking and played piano by ear. She loved French bulldogs. Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Loving of Lufkin; daughter, Lanita Loving of Lufkin; son, Jeff Loving of Hudson; sister, Mary Sue Wade of Bogalusa, Louisiana; special friend, Billy Watts of Hudson; and her fur baby, Jae Jae. Margaret Spurlock, 83 of Lufkin, passed away on Saturday, December 2,2023 in Lufkin. Graveside Service for Margaret will be at 1:00 P. M. on Wednesday, December 6,2023 at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan Texas. Margaret was born to parents James and Mable Pennington on November 17,1940 in Liverpool England. She lived in Liverpool until she was 18 and met the love of her life Thomas Spurlock. They wedded in 1959 and traveled the world over due to Thomas being in the military. They officially settled in Corrigan, Tx. in 1977 where she lived out her remaining years. Margaret was a loving mother, nana, and great-grandmother and found joy in her life when her grandbabies where around. She was an avid crafter; you could find her dabbling in all sorts of crafts from macrame to pottery and everything in between. She especially enjoyed quilting and with every new addition to the family, be it her own grandbabies or a family friend having a new baby she made sure they had a one-of-a-kind blanket. In her earlier years she enjoyed gardening and had an abundance of roses outside her home that she took great pride in. Mom had a great since of humor and witty personality and could always find joy in everything she did. She served as a kindergarten substitute teacher for many years and volunteered her time at the local VFW Hall as well as being a member of the NCOA Wives Association. She loved dogs and had two special pups Coco and Sandy. She also enjoyed bowling and was a member of different leagues throughout the years. Margaret is survived by Son, David Spurlock and wife Leora, Daughter, Ann Westbrook, Grandchildren; Justin Spurlock, Carol Spurlock, Cyndi Spurlock, Amanda Nott, Casey Spurlock, Amber Hahn, Kimberly Hahn, Nicholas Hahn, Colby Moreland, Wesley Moreland, and Arnulfo "Nufie" Cuevas Jr. and fifteen great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents James and Mable Pennington, her six siblings, husband Thomas Spurlock, son Thomas "Tommy" Spurlock and grandson James Spurlock. She will be greatly missed. Graveside services for Gaylon McClendon, 72, of Diboll, will be held Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 2:30 p. m. at Grimes Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Whisenant officiating. Mr. McClendon was born on September 6, 1951, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Roy Leo McClendon and Florine (Hambrick) McClendon and died Thursday, November 30, 2023, in Lufkin. Mr. McClendon served in the National Guard. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. McClendon was very witty, had the best sense of humor, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed going to Paw Nick's cabin and was a talented guitar player. Mr. McClendon loved his family more than anything. Blake was born July 6, 1990 in Houston, Texas to Tracy Danette (Wood) and Charles Randall Beathard, and died Monday, November 27, 2023 at his residence. Blake grew up in Wells and graduated with the Class of 2008. He became an Instrument Technician for Udelhoven Oilfield System Services and felt blessed to work in the beautiful state of Alaska, a place most people must pay to go see. Blake loved life and never met a stranger. He lived large and didn't take anything for granted. His family remembers he was usually late for everything, loved to cook, loved listening to music and singing in the shower! Blake cherished his family and friends and words cannot describe how dearly he will be missed. Memorial services for Carl Fredrick Wagoner, 82, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 1:00 p. m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Chaplain Joshua McNeely officiating. Mr. Wagoner was born on July 19, 1941, in New Harrisburg, Ohio, to the late Paul Asbury Wagoner and Dorothy (Wiley) Wagoner, and died Saturday, November 25, 2023, in Lufkin, peacefully surrounded by family. Mr. Wagoner was an avid fisherman. He spent many days on the lakes of Georgia, Florida, and Lake Sam Rayburn, Texas. Mr. Wagoner was a truck driver in his younger years but could not get away from his love of small engine repair. He owned a lawn mower business in Carrollton, Ohio and in Lufkin, Texas. Mr. Wagoner knew small engines like the back of his hand and was known to be able to fix anything. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
