Kathleen was born in Troy; she was the daughter to the late Harry and Catherine Hale, and the loving wife of 58 years to Dennis R. Ayotte, Sr. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved her grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by her husband Dennis, her son Dennis R. Ayotte, jr. (Camille Ayotte), grandson Mathew (Layla Jasper) Ayotte, her brother Harry Hale, sister Phylis Hale, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandson, Donovan Ayotte. The family would like to thank Evergreen Commons 2 Schodack and the Community Hospice for the loving care and compassion given to Kathleen. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday September 14 at Catricala Funeral Home 1597 Route 9 Clifton Park, NY with Reverend Tom Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Vischer Ferry Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Gerald R. Buras, Sr. , born on October 9, 1934 in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed to eternal life on November 20, 2023 in Halfmoon, New York. Mr. Buras, a native of Buras, Louisiana, lived in Belle Chasse and Baton Rouge, Louisiana and in Georgetown and Houston, Texas. Mr. Buras’ greatest love was Muriel, his wife of sixty-seven years. All who knew Mr. Buras witnessed his deep love for his family. His eyes danced with joy over grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted Catholic and gave the gift of faith and devotion to his children and their families. Mr. Buras began his almost forty-year career with Freeport Sulfur Company after graduating from high school and quickly advanced to the position of Coatings and Corrosive Specialist and a Supervisor for Engineering Services. He taught engineering classes for Delgado College in New Orleans. He served as president of the Buras Fire Department. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Buras was the epitome of a Louisiana gentleman - kind, honest and capable, and eager to offer help or advice on anything. He loved to build and fix things. Always working on home improvements, he even built their first house. To comfort his children, he often quipped, "I can fix anything except a broken heart. " He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Louise Soniat DuFossat Buras, his siblings, twin sister Geraldine, George, Elmer, and Betty. He is survived by his loving wife, Muriel, and his children, Gerald Buras, Jr. (Meagan), Ronald Buras (Lee Ann), Donna Haskins (Andrew), Mary Faller (Carlton) and David Buras (Michelle). He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Jay Buras (Rebecca), John Radcliff (Stephanie), Steven Buras (Caitlin), Blake Buras (Meredith), Brooke Buras, Jason Haskins (Rebecca), Rebekah Hand (John); Miles Faller (Tara), Matthew Faller, and Jacob Buras; and his eleven great-grandchildren, Miriam, Cecilia, and Cora Hildegard Haskins; Katherine, John Joseph, Theodore, Gregory, and Margaret Hand; Charles and Emily Radcliff; and William Buras. He is also survived by his brother, Simon Buras and his sisters, Patsy Crowe. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 8:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th Street, Gretna, Louisiana 70053. HALFMOON Richard A. Conway, 89, of Halfmoon, NY and Ft. Pierce, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Three Mile Bay, NY on Feb. 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Hazel Conway Slate and C. Russell Conway. He graduated in 1950 from Clayton Central High School in Clayton, NY. He went on to serve in the USAFSS as an Airman 1st Class during the Korean War from 1950 - 1954. He served in Okinawa, Japan and was stationed in Myrtle Beach, SC as a radio intercept. He owned two gas stations, "Homan & Conway" in Glens Falls in the late 1960's. He worked for Mohawk Airlines, Allegany Airlines, USAir and US Airways for 32 1/2 years as a customer service agent until retiring in 1991. He was a member of American Legion Mohawk Post 1450 in Halfmoon. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the Airport League at the Van Patten Golf Course. He also loved to travel and went to many places around the world. He enjoyed cheering for his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills and avidly followed all sports teams. He is survived by his wife, Judith Masterson Conway; a daughter, Kathleen Dyer (David) of Lake Worth, FL; a son, Richard R. "Randy" Conway of Coconut Creek, FL; as well as his step children, Gwen Terry, Gay McKinney (James McGloine) and Scott Terry all of Waterford. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Mekenzi and Bayli Conway of Coconut Creek, FL and by his step-grandchildren, Jason and Daniel Piacente of Waterford, Paul McKinney (Lindsey) of Schuylerville, Christopher Terry (Michelle) of Wynantskill and Catherine Truscello (Larry) of Watervliet. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Lynn Russell "Rusty" Conway. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a. m. in the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. , Waterford. Obituary of Cameron James Gilleece Cameron James Gilleece, age 23 of Halfmoon, New York passed away on March 9, 2022. Born on April 3, 1998, he was the beloved son of Seaneen Gilleece and the late William Gilleece. Cameron was a 2016 graduate of Shenendehowa High School and 2019 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, along with attending Rochester Institute of Technology and most recently Stonybrook University. He was currently employed at Nordstrom Rack in Colonie, New York. Cameron had many athletic interests as a young boy including gymnastics, basketball, baseball, soccer, and tae kwon do. Cameron excelled in tae kwon do and this became his passion. He attended Adirondack Tae Kwon Do and was a member of the Peak team at In Nae Taekwondo. Cameron and his Mom traveled all over the country to competitions and training. Cameron was supported by his family and was the absolute pride and joy of his dad and mom, with his dad constantly sharing sparring videos of Cameron. Cameron participated in local, State, National, and International competitions and racked up a tremendous number of medals. Cameron's love of the ocean, water, and marine life earned him his nickname CJ Shark. A love that persisted through his life, starting early with his dad, fishing, boating, snorkeling, swims with dolphins, and scuba diving. Cameron was fearless in the water. Not to mention Cameron's hair would be remiss. Cameron had a mane of hair that he started growing to enviable lengths when he was 10. His hair was his trademark. Along with his tall slender physique he was spontaneously referred to as Jesus by strangers, classmates, taekwondo sparring partners, and friends. Cameron was a kind, gentle, forgiving, compassionate, patient, loving, and humble man reflecting his beautiful soul. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings Christopher, Robert, and Erin Gilleece, his Aunt Jackie and Uncle Frankie, Aunt Patti and Uncle Tim, Aunt Tish and Uncle Billy, Uncle Jay and Beth, many loving cousins and friends and his beloved dog Bon Jovi. He is predeceased by Aunt Terry and Uncle John, Grammy Alice and Grandpa Jim, and Nana and Poppy. a memorial Mass will be held on Sunday, April 3rd at 1 p. m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. Obituary Douglas Alan Stack, 69 of Halfmoon, NY passed peacefully away on August 9th, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family at his side. Douglas was born on March 21, 1951 at the Bellevue Hospital, Niskayuna, NY. He was the son of the late Vernon and Doreen Stack. He was a graduate of Mohonasen High School in 1969. He then went on to join the Army and served in Vietnam. Douglas enjoyed his Seadoo, gardening, fishing, vacationing and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Douglas retired from Owens Corning in Delmar, NY after 24 years. On April 3, 1971 he married the love of his life Linda (Dean) and together they shared a loving and devoted union for 49 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife Linda (Dean) Stack of Halfmoon, NY, his daughter Melissa Youngs of Porter Corners, NY, and a son Daniel Stack of Halfmoon, NY. His siblings Barbara (Robert) Spiak, Susan (Walter) Sanborn and was predeceased by his brother John Stack. His beloved grandchildren, whom he truly adored, Cheyanne and Brianna Stack, Branden and Christopher Youngs. Many nieces and nephews. Angelo A. Frescatore, 87, of Halfmoon, NY, passed peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2019 at St. Peter's Hospital, with his loving family at his bedside. Angelo was born in Schenectady to the late Joseph and Rose Caldaro Frescatore and attended Schenectady Schools. He joined the US Air Force in 1950 and was honorably discharged in 1953. Angelo's 35+ year career included work as a Machinist at 3M, and later at General Electric where he finished his career as an Assistant Business Agent with IUE Local 301 in Schenectady. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Schenectady and most recently a member of Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. Angelo was also a member of the Rotterdam Elks. He enjoyed traveling, and visiting as many casinos as possible. He was a member of area golf leagues and the "Saturday morning breakfast club." Angelo was an excellent Italian cook and enjoyed eating Italian food as much as he did making it. He was also a longtime avid NY Mets fan. In addition to his parents, Angelo was predeceased by his beloved wife Carmella Mauriello Frescatore who died in 2011, sisters Rosemarie Frescatore, Theresa Frescatore, Alphonsina Frescatore and brother Frankie Frescatore. He is survived by his children, Edward (Denise) Plog of Charlton, Theresa (Edward) Beverly of Schenectady and Joseph (Mike) Frescatore of San Diego, Ca.; his beloved companion Peggy Jewett; his sister Lucille Myers, step-brother, Louis Azoia and step-sister Yone Ferriere; his Aunt Louise Zilberman and uncle Len Caldaro; and his cherished grandchildren, Eddie, Matt, Ben, Kyle and Alex, and great-granddaughter Mia. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 - 6 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Monday, 11:15 from the funeral home followed at 12:30 by a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake.
