Kathie Hysell Obituary

Kathie E. Hysell, 72, of Elkhart, Indiana formerly of Mount Vernon was called home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 21, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1951 in Mingo County, West Virginia to the late Earland and Sarah (Jarrell) Hysell Sr. Kathie enjoyed coloring, collecting Barbie dolls, and watching the Beverly Hillbillies with her family. Kathie was pure at heart and never met a stranger. She loved Jesus with all her heart. Kathie was a member of the Riverview General Baptist Church in Elkhart, IN. Kathie is survived by her sisters, Dorothy (Tom) Baggs of Howard and Patty (Ottis) Clemons of Elkart, IN; a brother, Tim (Sherry) Hysell Mount Vernon; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kathie was preceded in death by her brother, Earland "Bud" Hysell Jr. ; and her nieces, Sarah Day and Crystal Clemons. The family will receive friends from Noon until the time of a celebration of life service at 1 p. m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Dowds Chapel, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon with Mr. Roger Marra officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
