Karen Sue Waldron of Arkoma, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in Fort Smith. She was born on June 3, 1958 in Montebello, California to the late Shiro Kataoka and Irene Fukushima Kataoka. She was 65 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents. Karen was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Wade Waldron of the home; two daughters, Brenna Dickerson (Justin Marksberry) of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Erika Waldron (Donnie Smith) of Clarksville, Texas; two sisters, Elaine Brennan, (Edmond) of Camarillo, California and Mary Jane Gutierrez (Larry) of Merlin, Oregon; one brother Mark Kataoka (Kristine) of Wittier, California and six grandchildren. She was born on September 19, 1947 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Burt Owen and Christine Virginia Seveva (Tigner) Thornburg. She was a retired line worker for Baldor Electric and attended Life Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale Fry, Sr. , a son, Dale Fry, Jr. , a daughter, Teresa Fry, two sisters, Ethel Fowler and Debra Gray, and a brother, Eudale Thornburg. Funeral services are 10:00AM, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with a private burial to follow. The family will visit with friends from 2-4PM on Sunday at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Keith, of Arkoma, OK, Pam Sanders of Gans, OK and Vickie Seaman of Painsville, OH; a son, Charles Fry of Arkoma, OK; a sister, Sue Estes of Greenwood, AR; three brothers, Al Thornburg of Arkoma, OK, Vernie Thornburg of Gans, OK and Terry Thornburg of Fort Smith, AR; 12 grandchildren, Jeremy Williams, Dustin Fry, Mallory Montana, Bobby McClendon, Mandy French, Tyler Ivary, Drake Sanders, Cassie Clements, Alex Ivary, Darroyl Sanders, Katie Ivary and Akira Fry and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William T. & Dollie (Karr) Lovelace; two sisters Norma Brashears and Ruby Occhillzzo; one brother Williard Lovelace. He is survived by his wife Kaye Lovelace of the home; two daughters Donna Hammer of Broken Bow and Terri Bastible of Garvin, Oklahoma; three sons Stephen Lovelace of Green Forest, Arkansas, John Mark Lovelace of Idabel, Oklahoma and Roger Lovelace of Rudy; one sister Helen Bateman of Ozark; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Melinda Throne and husband, Rick of Arkoma, three grandchildren, Brandy Throne, Jesse Throne and Shyanne Throne and numerous nieces and nephews including Dale and Elaine Boardman, Nancy Boardman and Shanna and Keith Lovell.
