Joseph "Terry" Price, age 76, died on November 30, 2023 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon, Tennessee, after an extended battle of medical issues. Terry was surrounded by loved ones and passed peacefully. He was born on December 29, 1946 in Rich Pond, Kentucky and spent the majority of his life in the Rich Pond Community. Terry was a member of Warren County High School, Class of 1964, then drafted into the United States Army and served in the artillery division during the War in Vietnam. Terry was a dedicated employee of 38 and half years at Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation where he held many positions. He started out as a groundsman working his way from Lineman to Line Foreman to Superintendent of Right of Way. Outside of his career, Terry held many other titles as well; Coach to his three children, President of Warren County Pee Wee, President of Warren County South Little League, President of Warren County Babe Ruth, and Board Member of the Warren County Parks & Recreation Ethics Committee. Terry is preceded in death by his son Kevin Price, his parents Jessie Murl and William Robert Price, and nine siblings; James Robert 'Jim' Price, Mattie Sue Davis, Mary Florence Gott, Matilda Ann "Tilly" Rankin, Ernest Stanley Price, Willie Zelma "Zee" Stewart, Wallace Ezekiel Price, William Wayne "Bill" Price, and John Leonard Price. He is survived by the love of his life of 55 years Laura Sparks Price, and their children; Brian Price (Karen) and daughter Angie Price, sister Betty Jane Proctor (Donald), and sister-in-law Alma Jean Price. Nine grandchildren; Peyton Smith (Kyler), Landon Embry (Ashley Cole), Brhett Egerton (Anna), Colton Embry, Rebecca Egerton, Logan Price, Haley Price, Breanah Turner (Aidan Becker), Khloe Meador, and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p. m. Monday, December 4, 2023 and from 9 until 11 a. m. Tuesday all at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a. m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bowling Green Gardens. Expressions of sympathy maybe St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, the Buddy House, or a charitable organization of your choice in Terry's memory. Show more
