Julie Weigel Obituary

Julie Ann, born December 20, 1942, passed away on April 8, 2023 (age 80). God has taken her home to see her family and friends who have gone before her. Born in the small town of Freeborn, MN, Julie found her life-long love in Minneapolis. She and Herman were married for nearly 59 years. With two children, Ron (Mary) Weigel and Annette (Tom) Glasser, she was a great wife and mom. Her professional career as a pioneering insurance agent was an inspiration to many women who are now in the field. As time moved on she became a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Many years spent watching their sports and lives unfold, they were her pride and joy. Her beautiful smile will be missed by many. Julie is preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Eudena Oliphant, as well as sisters-in-law Angie Weichel and Maggie Weigel. She is survived by her husband Herman, brother Glenn (Merilee) Oliphant, her two children, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. We will celebrate Julie's life with a Mass of Christian Burial at ST PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH 19921 Nightingale St. NW in Oak Grove on Monday - May 1st at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior.
