Judy Ann Elis, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Judy was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 30, 1944, to Glen and Carol Heckman. She was a proud graduate of Howe High School and then went to work as a Civil Deputy for the Sherrif's Department, from where she retired. Judy was very active with the Women of Moose Lodge #17. Growing up Judy was a fun mom, she enjoyed traveling with her boys and never missed one of their sporting events if she could help it. Linda was the type of person who loved and cared about whomever she met. She was a mom to many, not just her own children. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. Christmas Eve was her Super Bowl and she threw the best race parties. Judy is survived by her sons Scott Elis and Lance (Tammy) Elis; her grandchildren Ashley, Vance, Gage, Jayden, Brennan, and Nick; her great-grandchild Ellie; and several nieces and nephews. Judy is preceded in passing by her parents Glen and Carol Heckman; and her siblings Bill Heckman, Linda Pinnick, Glenna McAtee, and Sandy Cartwright.
