In Loving Memory Judith Marie Wells Newton October 5, 2023 Judith Marie Wells Newton born April 26, 1940 went to heaven on October 5, 2023. On January 8, 1962 she married Robert Newton. They had two children, Robert Newton Jr. and Robbin Newton Mulvaney. Judith had a love for children. She was always proud of her position as a preschool teacher and was the bowling coach at Camden High School. Judith is survived by her husband Robert, her brother Raymond (Jimmy) Wells and Linda Wells of South Carolina, her daughter Robbin and two grand daughters, Taylor Mulvaney of Camden and Jamiah Moyer of Rome. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son Robert Jr and her 2 sisters Mary Louise and Marilyn Reeves. In place of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association in her name. Thank you to the staff at Rome Hospital and Bethany Gardens for the attention and compassion provided to Judith and her family during her time of need. In Loving Remembrance Shirley J. Tourot November 27, 2023 Shirley Jean (VanTassell) Tourot passed away November 27, 2023. She recently moved to Central Square after living in Mexico for 61 years. She was the widow of Fred Tourot Sr. He passed in 2008 after being married almost 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Mildred R Phillips and Clare VanTassell. She was the granddaughter of the late Pearl Smith and Ray Phillips and the late Florence Morgan and Herbert VanTassell. She was a 1948 honor graduate of Central Square Central School. She won many honors and played all the sports teams, basketball being her favorite. She was a long time fan of the SU Men's Basketball team and the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter and A Rod being her latest favorites. She enjoyed country music and enjoyed dancing to the "American Eagle Band". She was a life member of the Mexico Auxiliary #369, having held all the offices. She was a leader of the Mexican Senoritas 4-H Club. She was secretary of the Eastern Milk Producers Association. She was a member of the Mexico Senior Club and a member of the Lyndon Lawn Park Association. Her family and grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed going to all of their games and events. She is survived by 5 children, Cindy (Brian) Lynch, Sherry Tourot, Fred Tourot (Connie), Charles Tourot and Penny (Louis) Wisinski. Ten grandchildren, Amy Ginn, Brian (Kristen) Lynch, Michael (Janelle) Lynch, Justin (Kara) Tourot, Adam (Jessica) Tourot, Tyler (Sierra) Tourot, Nicole (Frank) Cannavo, Kristin (Sean) O'Dell, Danielle Franey and Jonathon Franey. Five Great Granddaughters, Sophia Tourot, Reagen Tourot, Kayla Lynch, Kepa Lynch and Charlee Cannavo. One great grandson Jack Lynch. She was predeceased by granddaughter Heather Lee Ginn, a brother George Raymond VanTassell and a sister June Harrington. She is survived by four sisters, Eleanor Bargy Virginia Beach, Peggy Troiano Central Square, Cathy Hyrnk Syracuse, and Debra (Bob) Dems Manlius. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was very proud of her Dutch Ancestry. "ETHEL MARY BOLOTTE HACKLEY, AGE 86 And a resident of Mount Hermon, Louisiana passed away early Thursday morning November 9, 2023 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1937 and was a longtime resident of Barataria, Louisiana before moving to Washington Parish 20 years ago. Ethel worked for the Jefferson Parish Assessor's Office and also the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office for many years, providing secretary and clerical duties. As a younger woman, she loved dancing and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ethel was an active member of the Bogalusa Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Born on April 7, 1998, to Kenda Sargent and Christopher Vaughn. He immediately brought joy and warmth to the lives of all who knew him. He went on to graduate from Mexico High School in 2016, where he met the love of his life, Rebecca Cronk. After graduating high school, Sam pursued his career with the Carpenters Local 277. Sam and Rebecca created a home where they were raising their two beautiful daughters together, Brooklyn and Madison. His children were his pride and joy and he embraced fatherhood with open arms, dedicating himself to their happiness and well-being. His love for their girls knew no bounds. He is survived by his fiance, Rebecca Cronk and their daughters, Brooklyn and Madison; mother and stepfather, Kenda and Scott Sargent; father and stepmother, Christopher and Brenda Vaughn; maternal grandparents, Kay and Jim Switzer, siblings, Joshua (Amy) Van Simmons, Rachele (Michael) Brooks, Rebecca Vaughn, Payson Sargent, and stepsister Vanessa Fuller and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In Loving Remembrance Suzanne R. Leonard November 11, 2023 Suzanne R. Leonard, 80, of Taberg, NY; passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Rome Health Hospital in Rome, NY. She was born on November 15, 1942 in Rome, NY to the late Harold and Mary Alice Rathbun Gerber. Suzanne attended Pacific Grove High School in California and Camden High School. She worked for the Rochester Shoe Tree, before working at Harden's Furniture in Camden, NY. She was a native of Camden, NY. She and her four siblings moved seven times to Pacific Grove, CA; Hollister, CA and once to Florida; before returning back east to Camden. She was married to her high school sweetheart, the late William J. Leonard on June 1, 1962 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Camden. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Taberg. Her favorite past times were gardening and hand knitting. She knitted and donated hundreds of new born hats over the years to the Rome Hospital. She was pre-deceased by her parents; her husband, William; her brothers, David and Charles Gerber; and her sister, Carolyn Dixon. Suzanne is survived by her children, Jodeen (Michael) Cintula, Michael Leonard and Robert Leonard; two grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon (Arnie) Schweer and Jan (Tim) O'Dahl. She is also survived by her best friend Marlene Pinti, who was always there for her. The family would like to send special thanks to the nurses on the ICU Floor 2 at the Rome Hospital for their compassion and care of Suzanne during her time there. In Loving Remembrance Barbara A. Myers November 5, 2023 Barbara A. Myers, 91, formerly of State Route 49, Cleveland, NY moved on to her heavenly home Sunday, November 5, 2023. She is predeceased by her husband Louis D. Myers Jr. Barbara was born in Tiffin, Ohio, youngest child of Mildred and Charles M Yambert, on February 13, 1932. She graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School, and Heidelberg College, Tiffin, Ohio with a BA in Education/Business Comprehensive. She married Louis D. Myers, Jr. on August 15, 1954 in Tiffin, Ohio. They lived in Ohio until they moved to Utica, NY, and finally settling in the Cleveland-Jewell area in 1975. Barbara began her career as a high school business teacher at Galion High School in Galion, Ohio. She also maintained the books for the Tiffin Presbyterian Church. After moving to Utica, NY, Barbara raised their four daughters and was the treasurer for the New Hartford Presbyterian Church, New Hartford, NY. Upon moving to Cleveland, NY, she worked at Robert Jones International and then Laribee Wire, Camden, NY in Accounts Payable/Receivable. Barbara then started her own bookkeeping company, Simple Bookkeeping, and was bookkeeper for the Town of Vienna and Bob's Mini-Mart. Barbara Myers was very strong in her faith. She was baptized at, and a member of, the Methodist church in Tiffin, Ohio. While in Utica, NY, she was a member of New Hartford Presbyterian Church. She became a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church, Cleveland, NY after her move to the area. There she played the piano for the church as well as assisted with Sunday School, VBS and attended Bible Study. While raising her four daughters, Barbara was involved in the PTA, Girl Scouts, AFS and Music Boosters. She loved to play the piano, and enjoyed family music sessions with her daughters and husband. She raised Labrador Retrievers for several years and was very fond of all of her many cats. Surviving are her four daughters and sons-in-laws, Pamela and Michael Schneeberger, Reading, PA; Rebecca and Eric Hirsh, Mystic, CT; Monica and Charles Hull, Baldwinsville, NY; Brenda and Robert Brookins, Cleveland, NY; 8 grandchildren, Laura (Robert) Cornish, Ethan (Catie) Hirsh, Amber (Daniel) Brooks, Meghan (Daniel) Tedesco, Kelley Hull, Emerald (Ryan) Holzwarth, Benjamin (Kristen) Brookins, Cole (Samantha) Brookins, and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 12 p. m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Cleveland United Methodist Church, Cleveland, NY, with a reception to follow. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 11 a. m. to 12 p. m. at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus, OH at a later date. Miller Sr. October 27th, 2023 William Miller, loving father, grandfather, and dog dad, survived by his son Jake Kelly, daughter Tabitha Miller, her children, and his grandchildren Nathan, Brayden, Alexis, and Ashley Abbott, as well as his beloved German Shepherd, Spartacus. In loving memory with him, his passed son, now resting together, William "Billy" Miller II. William was a man who took pride in not only his word, but in that of others. Unapologetically outspoken, an amazing quality that not many people in this day possess, but he always encouraged those around him to do so. Prior to retirement he was a hard worker, loading produce trucks, and driving rigs traveling around the US. He settled down and bought a home close to his daughter and grandchildren in Parish, NY - His most recent hope was to eventually migrate to Montana. In his retired life, he enjoyed and took pride in, home care, football with his son Jake, making Spartacus' home cooked meals and meals for his family. His annual gazebo, and Christmas decor where he would meticulously hang lights and wrap each photo in wrapping paper around the house. And of course, sharing phone calls and visits with those he loved, one of which he proudly and often mentioned, his daily talks with his daughter, Tabitha. In Loving Remembrance Robert Keith Wood Jr. "Woody" June 7th, 1965 - November 1st, 2023 Robert Keith Wood Jr. "Woody", 58 of Lacona, NY; passed away peacefully at the Oswego Hospital on November 1, 2023 surrounded by all of his loved ones. Bobby was born on June 7, 1965 to Diane and Robert K. Wood Sr. Bobby grew up in Mexico, NY and later moved to Lacona, NY where he lived for many years. He would enjoy his time at The Central shooting darts, playing pool and visiting with many friends. Growing up Bobby enjoyed cross country track and wood working, which he excelled in. Some of Bobby's happiest memories were spent living at Mexico Point, where he raised his daughter with his longtime girlfriend Kelly Rossi (Robinson) and eventually becoming a grandfather. Bobby enjoyed Hunting, listening to great music, scenic drives and using his artistic skills. Above all things Bobby loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted son, a beloved father and a doting grandfather. Bobby worked for the Mexico School District for some years before moving to Oswego Quality Carpets where he worked installing carpets and floors. Left to cherish his memories Bobby is survived by his parents Robert K. Wood Sr. and Diane Wood of Mexico, NY; his beloved daughter Jessica M. Redhead and son in law Robin L. Redhead Jr. of Oswego; both of his grandchildren Dylan T. Redhead and Jennica E. Redhead; sisters Crystal Wood of Mexico NY and Kimberly Jenkins of TN; cousin Billy (Ellen) Francis and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In Loving Remembrance Christopher L. Dale October, 9, 2023 On October 9, 2023, Heaven received a beautiful angel. Christopher L. Dale, beloved husband and soulmate of Colleen Dale, after a long illness, went home to heaven escorted by the angels. My husband Chris would always call me his guardian angel and now I call him mine. Wherever Chris and I went we were called a cute couple and people would always say we had a very tight connection and bond with eachother. I can still always feel his presence with me. Christopher passed away peacefully at Crouse Hospital holding my hand tightly in his. Before he passed he promised he would wait for me in heaven, so we could spend eternity together. So with my hand that he held tightly in and my other hand on his head, I told him that it was ok for him to go home. Chris was born in High Point, NC. He was a resident of Williamstown, NY. He retired from the construction business that he owned. He was a very proud man. Chris was married to Colleen Herbert Dale. He was pre-deceased by his father, Thomas Dale, of North Carolina. Chris is survived by his wife, Colleen Dale; daughter, Stacy Dale Burt (Steven Burt) of Alameda, CA; his sons, John Dale (Life Partner Missy Hansen) of Williamstown, NY, Sean Dale (Nicole Dale) of North Carolina and Evan Dale, of Pulaski, NY; step-children, Breanna Lyn Kalwanovski of Parish, NY, Christopher Trumble (Nikki Trumble) of Tennessee, Andrew Trumble (Heather Trumble) of Pulaski, NY; five grandchildren, Hudson Dale, Jaxson Trumble, Ashley Graves, Vanessa Trumble and Whitney Trumble; his mother, Mathein Turlington, of North Carolina, sisters, Sharon Crum of North Carolina and Pam Growlkawski of North Carolina; along with several nieces and newphews.
