Obituary of Judith (Judy) Irene Routh Morgan Judith (Judy) Irene Routh Morgan, age 76, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Morgan was born in Greensboro, NC on July 10, 1942 to Charles Sheldon and Helen Stockard Routh. Judy loved children and was formerly employed at Randleman Elementary School as a First Grade Teacher and as Director of Christian Education at First United Methodist Church in Randleman and Central United Methodist Church in Asheboro. She later operated Ms. Judy's Daycare. Judy was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the Handbell Choir. Judy enjoyed doing crafts and quilting and was a talented seamstress. She is survived by her husband, Rick Morgan; son, George Morgan of Sneads Ferry; daughter, Maria Morgan and the father of Judy's grandchildren, Chris Scott of Asheboro; grandson, Elias Scott and Owen Scott; brother, Tom Routh and wife Donna of San Rafael, CA; brother-in-law, Bud Woodard of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Delaine Routh of Greensboro; and brother-in-law, Don Morgan and wife Marilyn of Greensboro. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Lurlei Woodard, and brother, Dick Routh. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon at First Presbyterian Church, 420 West Walker Avenue in Asheboro with Rev. Brian Gawf officiating.
