Judith Joan Hartwig was born in Plymouth Wisconsin March 21st, 1928 to her parents Roland Schmidt and Maria Vincent Judith grew up in Marin and San Francisco, during which time her parents bought a parcel of land in rural Sebastopol where she and her sister Marguerite spent daring and delightful summers together Judith received her BA from San Francisco State University She was a kindergarten teacher for one year during which time she met her husband, John Edwin Hartwig She met John( Jack) while he and a friend were competing for her attention at a San Rafael dance Jack and Judy got married when she was 22, in 1950 She and Jack set up housekeeping in Petaluma and had their first child Gretchen in 1951 Judith and Jack had five children together: Gretchen, John, Joanne, Heidi, and Shannon After their 32 years of marriage Jack passed away suddenly Judith then returned to school and obtained her Masters in Early Childhood Education, and founded a Lutheran Preschool She directed the school for 10 plus years Judith was a mother to all, generous with her love, which was available to anyone who knew her Judith raised her five children magically, creating an environment rich with poetry, books, art, cooking, gardening, sewing, and baking, as well as intrepid adventure Judith loved God Mom truly walked with God, and taught others to live this life by example Judith's belief in God was the integral part of her life To to the family or in memory of Judith Joan Hartwig, please

ObituaryRobert Naymon Steele, 92, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023. Robert was born on April 29, 1931 in Arkansas, the son of Dewey Steele and Margaret Taylor. After high schoo, Robert entered the Navy where he worked his way to the rank of Petty Officer First Class. Robert was a proud member of the military. He was recognized in 2019 for his service as a past Commander for his local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Robert married his second wife Lillian Steele on February 14, 1970. They had two daughters, Brenda and Diane. Lillian passed away on February 24, 2008. Robert loved playing bingo and watching his favorite teams, the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. He enjoyed root beer floats whenever he got the chance. He played bingo multiple times a week in Windsor and Rohnert Park. In 2012 a special person from his past sat next to him at his bingo game. He married Elinor Unger on December 8, 2013. Robert was kind, honest, a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a good friend to everyone. He loved spending time with his family and being a grandpa. He would help anyone who needed him. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Smith (previously Taylor); father, Dewey Steele, daughter, Rebecca Ann Steele, and son, David Harris. Robert is survived by his wife Elinor Steele, daughters, Brenda Stracener (Eric), Diane Steele and stepdaughter Yvonne Lancina (Larry), many grandchildren whom he dearly loved including Kyle, Siera, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Kylie, Corlin, Liam, Alex, Mika, Lilly, Ely, Josh, Paul, Valerie, and great grandchildren Kaidyn, Owen, Olive, Caleb, and Abby. A viewing and funeral service will be held Friday, December 15 2023, 10:00AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park, 1700 Pleasant Hill Road Sebastopol, CA 95472. Reception to follow at St. Mark Lutheran Church following the burial. Pallbearers will be Eric Stracener, Alexander Duggan, Kyle Young, Paul Fraser, Kent Stracener, and Pat Anderson. Jerry was born in Santa Rosa to parents Henry Roy and Josephine Fontana Roy. He and his identical twin, John were welcomed by brother Robert to the family which went on to include siblings Linda, Mary, Henry "Junior", and Richard. Jerry married Sandra L Boyd in 1965 and welcomed four children of his own: Tina, Jerry Jr, Shawn, and Carisa. Jerry loved racing, an honest day's work, road trips with Johnny, and holidays at home surrounded by his children, and 23 grandchildren and greats. Sandra and the family meant everything to Jerry, and he was their rock. He will be deeply missed by all. Service at St Rose Church on Saturday, December 9, 2023, 10:30 a. m. Joseph Michael Mitchell, "Joe", 67, peacefully passed away on November 29th surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 25,1956, in Pasadena, CA, Joe grew up in Sunnyvale CA. with his brother and sisters and joined the army where he learned to drive truck. He was a US Army Veteran when he met his wife, Diane. Later moving to Petaluma CA where they raised their two sons. Joe went on to work for Toby's Trucking from 1988-2002; then joined Teamsters 624, working for Shamrock Material until his retirement in 2019. Joe was a hardworking and prideful man. He was known for having a clean truck and being handy around the house. Del Davis of Abilene, Texas and formerly of Sebastopol, California passed peacefully in his sleep on November 26, 2023, surrounded by family. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, November 29 at Iberis Cemetery, Hardwick Rd, Abilene, TX. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX 79606. Del was born May 11, 1936, in Sebastopol, California to Gilbert and Hazel Davis. His grandparents were Del and Sylvia Davis, one of the founders of Pacific Christian Academy in Graton, CA, which he attended and also sent his four children as Christian education was important to him. He had a quick wit and enjoyed laughing about the memory of meeting his wife at PCA and the first thing, upon meeting him, she asked for money as the Academy was having a fund raiser. He jokingly would laugh that she’s never stopped asking for money. He was a generous man and loved a good laugh. Del used his Forestry degree from Humboldt State University to raise Christmas trees in Sebastopol and also work as a surveyor in and around San Francisco and liked to point out when viewing the skyline, that he surveyed the Transamerica Pyramid Building. He worked for the city of Santa Rosa, CA as an inspector for 20 years before retiring to Abilene, Texas after sending his four children to Abilene Christian University. He was an avid hunter/fisherman, cattle rancher and enjoyed the Christian community in Abilene. God had blessed him, as he often stated. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Elaine and children Gary and Diane Davis of Sebastopol, CA, Sherry and Tim Kelley of Abilene, Lorry and Craig Thornton of Belton, TX, Larry Davis of Abilene, eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and sister Sylvann and Tom Nicholas of Reno, Nevada. Sebastopol, CA - Wilma Fay Binkley, 87, passed away at home peacefully November 19, 2023, after battling a long illness of dementia and cancer. Wilma was born April 23, 1936, in Paris, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas Brumley and Oda Brooner. Wilma attended Analy High School in the early 50's. Wilma married Richard Young at a young age, and they started a family. Wilma worked as a waitress for years while raising her four children. Wilma then married her second husband, Tom Binkley, in 1981. Wilma loved the walking group that she started around 1995. The group would walk 3 to 4 times a week, around all the trails in Sebastopol. Paul Maselli

Paul Maselli peacefully went to glory on November 18,2023 with family by his side. Born September 22,1930 in Sonoma, California. A graduate of Galileo High School of San Francisco. He met his wife, Virginia Burney, in 1953 while stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina Army Base. He served 2 years from 1952-1954 and finished as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army. On November 8,1954 in Reno, Nevada he married Virginia Burney, and later renewed their vows at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Petaluma. He was president and founder of M. Maselli & Sons, Inc. Hardware started in 1960 and was active in business until the age of 89. He was active in the community as a longtime member of the Druids, Rotary, Elks, Native Sons of Sonoma and the Sonoma County Farm Bureau. Paul loved deer and pheasant hunting and was an owner-member of the Lone Tree Gun Club. He played and loved baseball and coached his two surviving sons, Mike and Jim from Little League Baseball through the city leagues until the ages of 18. Paul leaves behind his loving sons, Michael Maselli and James Maselli, daughter-in-law Pam Maselli. Granddaughters, Sara, Alissa, Michaela. Grandsons Paul, Josiah, Luke, Benjamin, Peter and Jonathan Maselli. As well as many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Virginia Maselli. Parents, Michael and Lena Maselli. Sisters, Josephine Pucci and Mary Maselli. Brothers Jimmy and Peter Maffia. And daughter-in-law, Robin Maselli. First and foremost, Paul's passion in life was for his family and second to that was his business of 63 years. On August 8, 2023, the world said goodbye to a devoted husband, son, uncle, father, and Papa, just months after the sudden loss of his beloved wife, Ann. Their love was timeless, a bond that stood the test of time, and it was a profound and deep love story. Timothy P. Nelson was born on February 10, 1954, the son of a distinguished surgeon and a loving nurse. He spent his early years in Modesto before making Sonoma County his home in his 30s. Raised with his brothers Tom Nelson and Jim Nelson, as well as his sister Cindy Nelson, Tim's formative years were marked by the bonds of family and a deep sense of togetherness. In his younger days, Tim had a unique companion, a horse named Chick, which he used for transportation. The stories of his adventures with Chick added to the richness of his life's tapestry. Tim was a dedicated family man who embraced the role of a father, offering unwavering support and guidance to his wife's two daughters. He played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of his cherished granddaughters, leaving an indelible impact on their futures. His love for his grandchildren was matched only by his passion for storytelling, which he generously shared with them. Throughout his life, Tim was a hardworking body repairman, known for his unmatched dedication and work ethic. He took great pride in his ability to restore cars with skill and precision, serving as an inspiration to all who knew him. One of his greatest joys was his love for cars and the thrill of the racetrack. Music, particularly the iconic sounds of Pink Floyd, resonated deeply with his soul. He also had a penchant for literature and immersed himself in the novels of Stephen King. Tim cherished moments of music, often enjoyed under the canopy of the Redwoods at his home along the Russian River, where he resided for over two decades. Tim's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his children: Christina and Richard, Andrea and Jason, and his beloved grandchildren: Amanda, Justin, Ashley, Damen, Samuel, Gabriel, Brandon, Koa, Elijah, and Mia. He is also fondly remembered by his nieces: Patty Holroyd and Jennifer Holroyd. As we commemorate and celebrate Tim's life, we are reminded that true love endures, even in the face of loss.
