Mom was so proud of her family. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. Her door was always open for a visit, for a shower or to simply take a nap in between college classes. She had a listening ear and a nurturing touch; she welcomed everyone for a visit. Her family came first, always putting others before herself. Mom loved to play games and cards, especially Pitch, Shanghai Rummy, and Yahtzee. She loved the sun and spending time with family in her pool. She was a "do it yourself" kind of lady with a creative mind, using anything from a needle and thread to power tools. If you needed something fixed, you took it to moms. Mom was meticulous about everything she did, she took pride in her yard and edged her flowerbeds with knives and scissors. She found great joy in feeding and watching her birds along with cuddling and spoiling her grand pup Winston. Mom loved to watch Hallmark movies, go to the movie theater and out to eat, long car rides, ice cream stops, slumber parties and bonfires. Holidays will never be the same without our mother for several reasons, one being her well known homemade Mac and Cheese. She cherished her notes back and forth with her long distance sister Sally, and weekly phone calls for several hours to her sister Kathy, "my sister-my friend-my therapist. "
Mom had various jobs over the years, her favorite being The Photo-Booth, on Upper Front Street, as well as many years at Amphenol in Endwell.
To the world you are one person but to all of us you are our world. You will be deeply missed, we love you.
"But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand,
and said my place was ready in heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. "
