Juanita Whetsell Obituary

Ms. Juanita S Whetsell, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 after a brief illness. She was Member of 5th. Ave. Baptist Church, of Knoxville. She was a proud graduate of Central High School, and Knoxville Business College. Juanita retired from Greenway Chemical Company after many years of service. She will be missed by all who had the joy and privilege of knowing her. Juanita was preceded in passing by her husband, Dewey C. Kelley; parents, John and Frances Whetsell Sr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory son, Michael Tilley; daughter, Pamela Taylor; sisters, Barbara Tipton, Gail Ammons; brother, John (Wanda) Whetsell Jr. ; grandchildren, Rachel Killen, Brandon (Sarah) Tilley, two great-grandchildren, special friend James Flowers, and feline friend Princess. Family and friends will gather at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 E. Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Monday, October 9, 2023 with a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, and a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. A graveside service with take place at Berry Highland South Cemetery on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00am with Rev Mark Large to officiate the service.
