Joyce Skillern Obituary

Obituary Joyce McCullough Skillern, Born May 22, 1931; Died May 5, 2023. Joyce could be found laying a brick driveway, playing with her children, taking them to the pool or lake, and she could be found on a fashion show runway looking beautiful. She loved bridge and crossword puzzles. She watched golf with her husband Scott. She spent her summers gardening. She cared about her country and liberty for her country. Her children had a delightful childhood with family dinners every night, games on the family room floor, help with homework, driving to school, lessons, and sports activities. She typed papers for them and sewed costumes for Halloween, school plays and maybe a prom or two. Joyce passed on May 5, 2023 just shy of her 92nd birthday peacefully. She is survived by her husband Scott, her four children Dorsey Gordon, Scott Skillern, Stacy Maselli (Michael) and her four children Chip, Bill, Melanie, and Sandy. Bill Skillern (Rachel Hall) and their child Maude Hall. Her niece Ina Loftspring (Eddie), Peter Zimpelman (Alice), her nephew Bill McCullough and his sisters Janelle, Angie, and Lisa. She was preceded in death by her parents Clara and Bill McCullough. Her brother Bill McCullough and her sister Arlene Zimpelman. She will be missed. There will be a small Memorial Service at 11:00 a. m. Friday, May 12, 2023 at NFluence Church 14719 SR 23 Granger, IN 46530 (west corner of Capital and Clover).
