Joyce Davis Obituary

Joyce Bazzle Davis, 80, of Bowman passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Thursday, May, 11, 2023 at Aiken Memorial Gardens, 1523 Edgefield Highway, Aiken. Rev. Stan Wilson and Rev. Billy Hill will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P. M. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg. Mrs. Davis was born on December 18, 1942 in Charleston, S. C. She was the daughter of the late Carl Bazzle and the late Walena Smoak Bazzle. She worked for many years with the voter's registration office. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Davis and a daughter, Marsha Weatherford. Survivors include her children, Nichole "Nikki" Griffin (Joseph) of Bowman, Tammy Garrett of Vance, Sandra Williams, April Currant, Jim Davis, Jessica Horton all of S. C. ; eight grandchildren, Jessica Cordell, Stephanie Adkins, John Garrett, Jacob Griffin, Oakley Griffin, Parker Griffin, Coley Williams, Deanna Williams; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis Hill, Sammy Hiott, and Jerry Hiott. The family would like to give a special thanks to Pruitt health of Orangeburg and Pruitt health hospice for the compassionate and loving care they provided for mom.
