Joyce Davis Obituary

Joyce J. Davis was born June 14, 1961 in Quitman, Georgia to parents Jimmy Sr. and Doshia Idella Davis. During the younger years of her life, the family relocated to Manatee County where she received her public school education. After attending Southeast High School she worked as a hospital transporter, dietary worker, home health aide and cook. She accomplished many personal and professional achievements throughout her life by the encouragement of her stepfather Rev. Carl Dasher Jr. . Her most important attribute was being a mother. She was considered an Angel on Earth by her many family and friends. Joyce is preceded in death by her mother Doshia Idella Davis and sisters Annette Davis, Dorothy Wilson and Tammy Davis. She leaves cherished memories to sons Christopher (Electa) and Tony (Latasha) Davis; daughters Nova (Geno) Ward, Tina and Joy (Brian) Ward; Devoted Lifetime Best friend Jimmie Wilson; grandchildren Isis, Promise, Joseph, Mulan, Harmony. Juhuan, Joylexia, Joybria, Joylauria, Joyvannio, Joybryant and Rodney; great grandchild Mulahni; Father Jimmy Davis Sr. ; siblings Charles Davis Sr. , Jimmy Davis Jr. and Stephanie Dasher. Joyce will forever be remembered for her huge yet very kind heart, sweet smiles, thoughtfulness, incredible strength and loyalty to those she called her friends and dearest family members. "Momma" Joyce will be missed immensely.
