Joy Sue Franklin February 21, 1935, to June 11, 2022, was born in Wynne, AR to George and Leona Crowder. She leaves a legacy behind with her four children and in laws: Lacy (Debbie) Brown, Memphis, TN, Dale Brown, Memphis, TN, Boyd (Gloria Bishop) Brown, Memphis, TN and Wanda (Bill) Brown, Tumbling Shoals, AR, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents and her brothers: Willie Crowder, Parkin, AR and Johnny (Fanny Lou still living) Crowder, Saltillo, MS and sisters Mabel (Ollie) Lewis, Michigan, Lillie Mae Thompson, Bethany, OK, and her daughter in law Debra Black, as well as husbands: JD Brown, Parkin, AR, Leonard Hall, West Memphis, AR and WE (Sonny) Franklin, Parkin, AR. Joy spent her childhood in the Wynne and Parkin, AR area. Upon her marriage to JD Brown she moved to El Paso, TX where her boys were all born, She then moved with JD to Camp Zama, Japan where their daughter was born and she became fluent in Japanese.
