Joshua David Crede, 40, of Westphalia, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 5th, 2023 at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on July 27th, 1983, in Westphalia, Missouri. He was the son of Debbie Crede and the late David Crede. He was a 2001 graduate of Fatima High school and attended St Joseph Catholic Grade School in Westphalia. Josh's dream was to play professional baseball, but he suffered complications from an automobile accident in 1999. He loved playing baseball with his brothers at a very early age. He played baseball and basketball for the Fatima Comets and American Legion baseball in the summers. As an adult, he coached several youth baseball teams. Joshua worked for Weathercraft, Ronnoco Coffee, and the State of Missouri as the Governor's aide investigating incoming mail for suspicious materials. He was most recently employed at Central Dairy until he was diagnosed with bladder cancer in March of this year. He was an avid fan of all his nieces and nephews in their sports. He also enjoyed watching and quoting movies, playing the lottery, and collecting sports memorabilia, rare coins and bills. He was resourceful, strong as an ox, and had a crazy, often dry, sense of humor. He will be missed and cherished by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, David T. Crede; grandparents, Eugene and Marie Parris, and Adolph and Anna Crede; and his great uncle and singing buddy, Alois Crede. He is survived by his mother, Debbie Crede; 3 siblings, Leigh Anne (Jose) Martin of Jefferson City, Brad (Kim) Crede, and Joe (Lisa) Crede all of Westphalia; his very special friend and companion, Melanie Biele of Jefferson City; eleven nieces and nephews, Abby Crede, Ellie Crede Jackson Crede, Anna Crede, Lucy Crede, Jace Crede, Joseph Travis, Brandon Martin, Jordan Martin, Kaeyla Lampe, and Aleesha Lampe; and great-nephews, Elijah Hammond and Kashton Lampe-Coleman. There will be a private family service at Hilke-Millard Family Chapel in Westphalia, Missouri. A public Celebration of Life will take place on November 11, 2023 at Apple Creek Farms in Centertown, Missouri during the Joshua Crede Benefit. Kathy Joanne Wilson, age 70, departed this life on December 6, 2023. She was born July 22, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Everett Paul Cook and Katherine Elizabeth Ellington. On June 19, 1971, she married her high school sweetheart, Thomas A. Wilson. Together, they had an enduring marriage that lasted 52 years. She proudly became the mother to Christina Michelle Bolin (Tim) and Cynthia Elizabeth Keeney (Brian), two daughters to which she devoted her entire life. She is survived by her husband, daughters and son-in-laws, three grandchildren, Ciara Jo Wilson, Paige Danielle Wilson, and Alex Trenton Keeney, along with step-grandchildren, Allison Bolin (Cathy) and Greg Bolin, one great granddaughter, Oakley Jo Wilson, one sister Linda Paulette Crowder and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Austin Brian Keeney. Kathy was raised by her grandparents, Leonard and Georgia Ellington from a young age after her mother was killed in an automobile accident, living on a farm in rural Saint James, Missouri and attending schools in Cuba, Missouri until her marriage in 1971. She later completed high school and received her diploma from Glenburn High School in North Dakota. Her focus at this point was her marriage and raising her family. She later attended State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri after her daughters were grown. Being a military wife, she lived in Massachusetts, Missouri and North Dakota for 20 years before retiring in Jefferson City. She had a bubbly and effervescent personality, making friends wherever she lived or worked. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was adored by her family. Her family was everything to her. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Kathy loved reading various genres of books and crafts of many kinds. She was an accomplished crocheter and enjoyed sewing, quilting, pottery and plastic canvas projects of all types, making beautiful articles for her children and grandchildren. She endured many health issues in her life that began at a relatively early age but she was very tough and determined to persevere and deal with the hardships that life presented. Always an animal lover, she welcomed many cats and dogs into her life, and loved them as her children. Shelties, Irish Setters, Brittany Spaniels, Papillons and Golden Retrievers were among her dog children, but none were loved as much as her faithful Golden Retriever, Buddy. She also had many beloved cats during her lifetime, including Siamese, Tonkinese, Burmese and several stray Tabby cats that needed a home. Private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City, Missouri next to her grandson whom had preceded her in death. David Lynn Harrison, age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love, Tuesday, November 28th,2023 after an extended illness. Per his wishes, there will be no formal services and a celebration of his extraordinary life will be scheduled later. David was born October 10th, 1948, in Hannibal Missouri, the second son of Roe and Juanita Phillips Harrison, who proceeded (in death. Also proceeding him in death was his older brother, Phillip Roe Harris who was his hero his entire life. Raised in Shelbina, Missouri, he graduated from South Shelby High School in 1966. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1970 with a BS degree in Business and Public Administration, He was employed for over 30 years at Harry S Truman VA Hospital in the Fiscal Department as the Payroll Coordinator. He retired at 20 years in 2003, ready to enjoy many adventures with his family and friends. David married Mary/Peggy Andrew on September 17th, 1988, in Columbia, MO, joining together for many adventures and much love. David is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 35 years, his loving son Joel Andrew Harrison and his wife, Katelin Krusz and his most precious grandchildren, Marceline (Marcy) and Julian (JJ) Harrison Krusz. He also cherished and is survived by his extended family, including his nieces, nephews and their children who provided much joy. David enjoyed many hobbies, including wood working, beer making, and league bowling for many years, cribbage, and many travels with his family across the USA. He was also able to fulfill his bucket list wish to travel the roads of Ireland with Mary. His greatest enduring enjoyment was canoeing the many rivers and streams of Missouri, taking in the beauty of his surroundings, and catching a few fish along the way. David will be remembered for his booming voice, his love of a great party, a cold beer, a cup of his home roasted coffee, a good game of cribbage, his boisterous and hilarious participation in a large family circle playing Catch Phrase, John Prine, his bright smile, his love of family and the many friends that enriched his life, along with so much more. Columbia, MO - Our community mourns the loss of a beloved man, Edward Jackson "Jack" Davison, Jr. , who passed away on November 24, 2023. St. Charles Road, Columbia, MO 65203, at 10:00 a. m. on Saturday, December 2nd, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a. m. , and graveside services at Columbia Cemetery. Born on December 27, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to Edward Jackson Davison, Sr. , and Ruth Marie Breedlove, Jack lived most of his life in Columbia, MO. Jack was joined in marriage by Brenda McCann on December 26, 1976. From this union, they shared two children, Matthew Davison and Micki Kliethermes. Brenda preceded Jack in death on October 24, 2018. The family was at the heart of Jack's world. As a father, Jack's guidance and love shaped the lives of Matt and Micki. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and supported them in their endeavors. Jack is survived by his sister, Becky Stone (Steve), and brother, David Davison, both residing in Columbia, MO. His children Matthew Davison (Joy), and Micki Kliethermes, both of Columbia, MO. Jack worked for Consolidated Public Water District #1 for over two decades and loved his work family, who referred to him as JD. The relationships he formed with his co-workers meant the world to him. One of his favorite company events was the chili cook-off, and JD was widely known as the "grill master" for their barbeques. Jack's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him. Yet, his spirit lives on in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love he showered upon family and friends. Dorothy Mae (Reinsch) Huhn, of Koeltztown, Missouri passed away November 12, 2023 at Westphalia Hills Nursing Home. She was born on August 11, 1935 in Koeltztown, Missouri, a daughter of the late Herman and Christina (Heckman) Reinsch. On August 6, 1955, she was united in marriage to Clarence Huhn at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Koeltztown, Missouri, he preceded her in death on December 12, 1992. Dorothy worked at Tweedie Shoe Factory, International Shoe Factory, McGraw Edison and retired from Johnson Control. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, watching soap operas, and going grocery shopping with her granddaughters. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son: Robert "Bob" Huhn of Koeltztown, brothers: Jerome Reinsch of Wardsville and Norbie Reinsch (Renie) of Cuba; sisters-in-law: Kathy Reinsch of Loose Creek, Claire Ann Huhn of Folk, Marilyn Loethen of Hallsville, Bernice Huhn of Folk, Bernice Bexten of Westphalia, Alice Huhn of St. Martins ; brother-in-law: Eddie Huhn of Folk; grandchildren: Bobbi Price (Nick) of Jefferson City, Stephanie Mengwasser (Max) of Koeltztown, Melissa Huhn (Brandon Trinklein) of Wardsville and Ben Huhn (Amanda) of Koeltztown; and great grandchildren: Kenadi (Hunter), Clayton (Grace), Dawson, Carly, Bradyn, Aspyn, Cash, Avery, Brody, Kinzlee, Easton, and Ezden. Charles W. Jackson age 91, passed away on October 31, 2023, at 8:40 p. m. at Heisinger Bluffs-West Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born on February 15, 1932, in Oswego, South Carolina, the sixth of seven children and son of Jobe D. and Rosa Lee (Hampton) Jackson. Charles was united in marriage to Betty J. King at Saint Rest Baptist Church, Minden, Louisiana on August 15, 1959. Charles graduated from Mather Academy, a private African Methodist Episcopal High School in Camden, South Carolina in May 1950. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia in 1955, and a Master of City and Regional Planning in 1964 from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. He served in the United States Military with the 36th Armored Infantry Battalion Unit in Europe and was honorably discharged in May 1957. He came to Lincoln University as an Instructor of Building Engineering on September 9, 1957, and retired as a Professor Emeriti on December 31, 1999, a period of 42. 5 years. During those years, he served in many capacities including 28 years as a teacher, as a department chair and as a college dean. He served 14. 5 years as Director of Facilities Planning and Design with administrative supervision responsibilities for capital improvement budgeting, new construction, public safety, buildings and grounds, and printing services. Being concerned about disadvantaged students with financial need, Charles wrote three grant proposals that were funded to assist many of these students. Two of these grants - The Model Cities Grant and The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Grant - were funded by the Federal Government. These grants provided full financial assistance through work-study for students to complete their studies. The third grant was sponsored by the Nigerian National Government for four (4) years for students to study in the United States to become technically trained. Because of his interest and involvement in providing financial assistance for needy and deserving students, upon his retirement, "The Charles W. Jackson Perpetual Endowed Scholarship" was established to continue financial assistance to students. Charles served on many civic committees and boards in Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri to include the Parks and Recreation Commission, Missouri Regional Library Foundation Board, Three Rivers Boy Scouts of America Council representative, University of Missouri-Lincoln University Cole County Extension Council, Planning and Zoning Committee, Chair-Convention Center Planning Committee, Chair of the Mayor's Physical Planning Committee, search committee for City Administrator, Board of Governors (Lifetime Membership) for Capital Region Medical Center, and eight (8) years as First Ward City Councilman and two (2) years as Mayor Pro Tem. Through the years, Charles' diligence and leadership were recognized with other honors and special citations including, Honorary Colonel of the Lincoln University Reserve Officers' Corps, University of Missouri Honor Roll of Extension Leaders, Certificate of Public Service from Jefferson City, Lincoln University Student Government Association Service Award, United States Department of Defense Certificate of Appreciation, University of Missouri President's Statewide Advisory Council Certificate for Supporting the Extension Mission, Lincoln University National Alumni Association's Distinguished Service Award, The Wesley Foundation Loving Service Award, The Lincoln University Professor Emeriti Service Award, and The Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce William W. Quigg Award for Lifetime Leadership and Commitment to Jefferson City. Charles was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. , since 1958, an international fraternal organization known for public service activities, and served in several leadership positions to include Basileus (chapter president) for four (4) years, and later, as Chaplain for over 40 years for the local chapter, Eta Alpha. Charles was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson City, Missouri. He was an ordained Deacon and Elder, and was a co-teacher for the Calvin Class Sunday School for over 20 years. Prior to 1983 the major Presbyterian Church was separated as the northern and southern churches for over 120 years. Charles was one of fifty-two (52) lay persons and ministers elected from the two branches to formulate a reconciliation plan to reunite the two church branches of 3,500,000 members. The plan for reunion was successful and the two churches were formally reunited in Atlanta, Georgia in 1983, and became the Presbyterian Church in USA. Charles served on the first General Assembly Council of the Reunited Church for five years. Charles is survived by his wife Betty, two daughters, Beverly A. Jackson Perry (Ottie) of Gold Canyon, Arizona, and Cheryl D. Jackson of Bloomington, Illinois, one grandson Matthew D. Perry of Tempe, Arizona, one sister Mazie L. Jackson Gary (Wallace) of Sumter, South Carolina, brother-in-law Dr. Ira C. King, Jr. of Tempe, Arizona, and several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers - Joseph T. Jackson, Mattoon E. Jackson, Sr. , Obadiah T. Jackson, two sisters - Ophelia L. Jackson and Thomasina R. Jackson Pinckney, one nephew Mattoon E. Jackson, Jr. , and a grandson Jason Perry. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 9:30 a. m. to 10:30 a. m. at Millard Family Chapels, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, MO. A fraternal Omega Omega service will be held between 10:30 a. m. and 11:00 a. m. , led by the Eta Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. The Christian funeral service will follow at 11:00 a. m. , with The Reverend Alice C. Wilson Whitson as officiant of this service.
