Josephine "Josie" Ann Milberger March 6, 1942 - October 5, 2023 Josephine "Josie", 81, of Bryan, Texas passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 in the comfortsof her home Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 11, 2023 with Rosary at 6:00 PM Funeral service will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:30 PM Josephine was born March 6, 1942, in Bryan, Texas, to parents Martin and Annie (Ruffino) Camarata After many years of working in the local community, Josephine retired to spend time doing what she loved most; watching football, planning activities for the Polka Club, gardening and selling fresh fruits and vegetables at the local Farmers Market Josephine also has a love of Polka Dancing; a traditional Polish dance, where her and husband of 30 years; Willie Milberger would travel city to city with their local Polka Club enjoying days of dancing Josephine was honored when they won King and Queen of Polka Josephine deeply loved her family, friends and church and was always willing to lean a helping hand Josephine was preceded in death by parents; Martin and Annie (Ruffino) Camarata, sister; Nena Louise Camarata, brother; Tannie Martin Camarata, and sister-in-law; Dorothy Camarata Josephine leaves behind to cherish her memories loving husband; Willie Milberger, two sons; Pete Budzisz (Janice) and Jimmy Budzisz, along with two daughters; Priscilla Gordon (Steve Jr ) and Regina Budzisz, brother; Preston Camarata, sister-in-law; Julie Camarata, grand-children; Tripp Gordon (Rebecca), Kayla Martinez (Angel), Tyler Gordon and Ashley Browder, along with nine precious great grand-children, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends Josephine's beautiful smile and personality will be greatly missed by all To to the family or in memory of Josephine "Josie" Ann (Camarata) Milberger, please

Donald was born to Thomas Jefferson Williams and Christine Miller Williams in Pineville, Louisiana. Don enlisted in the Army in September 1962 - June 1966 with duty stations in the United States, Korea and Germany. He graduated from the Army Quartermaster School and Armorers Course, achieving rank of SP4(P). Donald married Maxine Gonzalez from Cottonport, Louisiana, in 1968. Together with their children, they moved to Lufkin, Texas, in 1978. In 1982 they moved to Bryan, Texas, where all four children graduated from Bryan High School. Don and Maxine resided in Bryan for the remainder of their years. Their legacy lives on in Duane and his wife Stephanie of Austin, Darren and his wife Nancy of San Antonio, Derrick Williams Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) United States Army of Kansas and their youngest and only daughter, Deanne and husband Clark White of Rowlett, Texas. Their grandchildren include Clark Bramlet "Bram" White II, Claire Renee’ White, Matthew Reese Williams, Kevan Stafford, Jacob Stafford, Bryan Alexander Williams, Madison Paige Williams, Marissa Marie Reyna and her husband Caleb Reyna, and one great-grandchild Nicholas Reyna. Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maxine, his parents, and his brothers SJ, RG, Thomas and Ronald Williams. Donald’s only sister, Doris Dunn of Lake Charles, Louisiana, is left to cherish the memory of her beloved family. Don will be remembered for being a hard-working no-nonsense kind of man. He was the world’s best Pawpaw, always answering the call of duty. One of our fondest memories will be how he would hug us goodbye and stand on his front porch watching us as we drove out of sight.Show more

"Bayron Fernando Ponce passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 36 in Bryan, Texas. He was born on October 18, 1987, to Nelson Ponce and Blanca Rodriguez in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Bayron married Cindy Sorto on October 23, 2015, in Houston, Texas. He worked as an electrician for Hay's Electrical for 11 years. He enjoyed fast cars, good music, nature, and especially loved spending time with his children. Bayron is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Cindy Ponce Sorto of Houston, Texas and his children, Johanna Sorto age 14, Johanny Sorto age 11, Dylan Ponce Sorto age 6, and Camila Ponce Sorto age 4. He is also survived by his sister, Alejandro Ponce of Iowa, and Tania Rodriguez of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and his brother, Darwin Rodriguez of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Chip Manning

After a yearlong battle with cancer, my husband passed away at home on Monday, December 4, 2023 surrounded by his family. As hard as it is to say goodbye, we all know he is at peace now and happy to be in the presence of the Lord. He and I discussed how blessed we were to have been married 48 years, raised two wonderful children, who in turn gave us five precious grandchildren. Along with those blessings came the success of C & J Barbeque which has been an amazing journey and one beyond our wildest dreams. Chip really enjoyed going to the stores to talk to our customers. He was known for giving everybody, employees included, a playful hard time. His favorite thing to do was meet new customers, especially those coming in town for Aggie games. Every time he saw an opposing team shirt, he would go over and see where they were coming from and want to know how they found out about C & J. Chip never met a stranger. His greatest joy however was spending time with our children, Reagan and Justin. He was so proud of them and their ability to take C & J Barbeque to a whole new level of service and success. He loved bragging on them every chance he got. Our annual summer vacation with the family was something he really looked forward to every year. This past summer in Livermore Colorado at Cherokee Park Dude Ranch, where our grandkids rode horses everyday, was a memory we all will never forget. Chip loved classic cars, watching car auctions, cooking shows and barbeque cook-offs on TV. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, time on his lease enjoying the outdoors, fishing and driving his ‘52 Ford pickup as well as his ‘67 Chevy Super sport. Over the years, we have been blessed with so many amazing friendships. Chip was so touched and grateful to all of his friends, family, and employees who came by to see him, sent cards, letters, texts, or called expressing their love and prayers for his healing. The love and support has been overwhelming. Chip was born in Houston, Texas on February 18, 1951 to Floyd and Evalyn Manning. He had one sister, Barbara, who passed away a little over two years ago from the same dreaded disease. All three have proceeded him in death. His belief that they will be reunited again warmed his heart, especially since he lost his father at the young age of four. Survivors include his wife and partner in life, Jo Manning; daughter, Reagan Manning; son, Justin and his wife Sarah Manning; our grandchildren, Beckett, Hollis, Grayson, Penny, and Evie; his very close extended family, daughter-in-law, Nicole Rose; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Joe Goldwater, Ellen and Robert Goldhirsh, Mark and Karen Fishkind, and Mickey and Nikki Holtzman; along with nephews and nieces, Jason, Yael ("Y’all, as Chip called her), Ariana, and Toby Goldwater; Geoff Goldwater, Robert Fishkind, Danny and Elissa Fishkind, Hannah and Conner Unruh, and Elle Holtzman. Special thanks to all his doctors, Dr. Erin Fleener, Dr. Jamie Pawlowski, Dr. Richard Smith, and Dr. Tom Salzer. Heartfelt thanks go out to his special friend, Linda Davis, along with the nursing staff at Traditions Hospice. Please see service information below. Lou Doiron

Lou Ellen Whiddon Doiron, age 95, of Bryan, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She was born in Louisiana on November 30, 1927 to Robert and Agnes Whiddon. She had one sister Wilma Jeanette. The Whiddons moved to Port Arthur when she was a baby, and they lived there until about 1940 when they moved to Moss Bluff. She graduated from Gillis High School as the Salutatorian of her graduating class. She married AC Donahoo, and they had Gary Wayne in 1946. AC died in 1951 leaving her a widow with a young son at an early age. A couple of years later Lou attended a church service where a young man named U. A. Doiron was preaching. She set eyes on him and he on her, and the rest, as they say, is history. U. A. pastored the church in Moss Bluff, and Lou played the piano. In 1953 their daughter Debra was born, and in 1959 their son, Brian was born. In 1962 the family moved to Dallas, Texas where U. A. began a career at Dallas Bible College. In the time they spent there, Lou was U. A. 's executive secretary and then became the librarian for the college. She accomplished an incredible feat of changing the entire library over from the Dewey Decimal system to the Library of Congress system. She also added numerous volumes to the library to bring it up to accreditation standards. When the college closed, they returned to Moss Bluff and began work at Camp Pearl. Lou learned the computer system of QuickBooks and became the financial manager of the camp. They worked side by side for most of their married life accomplishing many "turn arounds" with churches, the college, and the camp. As their health began to decline, they moved to Bryan, Texas in 2018 to live with their daughter and her husband. U. A. passed away in February, 2022, and Lou continued the fight against fibromyalgia and congestive heart failure. She had a stroke on November 22 and went to meet Jesus on November 28, 2023. She is survived by her 2 sons, 1 daughter, 3 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 11 great-grandsons, 2 great granddaughters, and 2 great-great grandsons. Funeral Services will be held at Camp Pearl Chapel Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 a. m. Burial will follow at Camp Pearl/Creel Cemetery. Debra "Debbie" Lynn Evans (Reynolds) entered this world at 4:40am on October 16, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. She often said she wasn’t born in Texas, but she got here as fast as she could. She was the oldest of four children. Growing up, they moved around frequently but she had fond memories of her time in Uvalde and considered this her hometown. She was a lifelong Willie Nelson fan and attended many of his Fourth of July picnics over the years and numerous concerts. She married the love of her life, Cecil Evans on October 9, 1999. He too was a huge Willie Nelson fan. She had numerous jobs over the years and always enjoyed getting to know her coworkers. She could sit and talk for hours followed by retreating to the quietness of her home where she would speak to her daughter on the phone anywhere from 2 to 12 times a day! She enjoyed shopping and couldn’t pass up a clearance aisle. After her husband passed away, she found comfort living next door to her parents. They took care of one another. In her early 50’s she became a big wrestling fan with the help of her son. They watched wrestling together often. She looked forward to family reunions and loved to play Dominos. She drove with a heavy foot and her country music playing loudly. During her years in the nursing home, she started playing Bingo and her loud radio turned into a loud TV. She enjoyed time with family and would take in just about any animal she found. Debra even had a pet goose as a child… (Yes, Mom, I had to put the goose in here). She loved a good practical joke followed by a laugh and hug together. Debra’s family turned to her to make spanish rice, deviled eggs, and around the holidays, fudge! Purple was her favorite color and she loved Native American décor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Shirley Reynolds, and her husband, Cecil Evans. She is survived by her two children, son Bryan Parker (Keli) of Gonzales Texas and Daughter Martha Cunningham (Alan) of College Station Texas; seven grandchildren; brother, Clifford Reynolds Junior; sisters, Kathy Zumwalt (Harvey) and Sharon Parsley; two nephews (1 godson) and one niece; and many other relatives and friends with a special acknowledgement to Hedy and Joe (Fat Man) Wallace. Debbie passed peacefully into the arms of her parents and Jesus on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. From all of us left behind: "Debbie, we all love you too!" The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Fortress Nursing Home for their long care of Mrs. Evans. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Traditions Hospice care for taking special care of her in her final days. He also loved to fish, play cards and dominoes, and spend time with his family and friends. Wilbur Dann attended Blackshear School in Hearne, Texas and later was a 1973 graduate from Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas. Wilbur Dann was preceded in death by his parents, Martha M. Cooper McKinney and Willie McKinney, Sr. , and 6 brothers. He departed this life at the age of 71 on November 24, 2023, at Lampstand Nursing and Rehabilitation of Bryan, Texas.
