Joseph Thomas Obituary

Joseph Shane "Jody" Thomas, age 54 of China Grove passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Levine Dickson Hospice House. Jody was born on September 3, 1968 in Cabarrus County and was the son of the late Calvin Moran Thomas and Anna Cress Thomas. He was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in China Grove and was a 1987 graduate of South Rowan High School. From earlier in life, he was able to figure out how things worked and was able to fix many things. His family remembers him as a practical joker, and would enjoy playing tricks on them. His main thing in life in addition to his extensive working career was being with his girls; wife Lisa and daughters Ally and Madelyn. With his daughters, he loved to go hunting, and just being with them. He was owner operator of Extensive Electric Co. as well as Thomas Heavy Haul. In addition to his father, he was also preceded by his brother Keith Thomas. In addition to his mother those with cherished memories are his wife of 18 years, Lisa Isenhour Thomas, his daughters Ally Thomas and Madelyn Thomas as well as his brother Brett Thomas (Laura) and sister Bridgett Claus. Also surviving him are his niece Miranda Claus and nephew Jeremy Westover. Visitation will be on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 2:00 pm till 3:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm also at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home.
