Nonnenkamp, Joseph Alexander, February 2, 1981 - May 7, 2023. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Dear son of Donna (nee Biedenstein) and the late Donald Nonnenkamp; Dear brother of Jeffrey (Margaret), and Thomas (Sarah) Nonnenkamp; loving uncle of George, Henry, Margot, and Jack Nonnenkamp. Proud Godfather to George Nonnenkamp, Jack Nonnenkamp, and Parker Franklin. He was a caring son, brother, uncle, godfather, nephew, cousin and friend. Joe was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Joe grew up in Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic parish and attended grade school there. He attended Chaminade College Preparatory School and received his Bachelor's degree in Communication from Miami University, Ohio and Master's degree in Business Administration from St. Louis University. He spent most of his career in Sales for Emmis Communications and Hubbard Broadcasting. He loved his co-workers and considered them family. He had the rare fortune of truly enjoying his career and the lifelong friends he made in the radio industry. Joe had a passion for music and attended many concerts throughout his life. He particularly loved Billy Joel and saw nearly 40 live performances. He was a dedicated member of the community, and was active with the Red Shoe Society, often volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. He was a CYC basketball referee at St. Genevieve du Bois parish for 27 years. He had a strong faith and often attended daily mass. He was a gifted writer, and an eloquent speaker. To know Joe was to love him. He was a sweet, warm soul who truly loved his family and friends. He will be remembered for his outgoing and welcoming personality, his thoughtfulness and generosity, his love of music, and his sense of humor. Services: Visitation will be held Friday, May 12 from 4-8 p. m. at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 1510 Bopp Road on Saturday, May 13 at 10 a. m. Private Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Ronald McDonald House Charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Chaminade College Preparatory School.
