Joseph Gibino, 80, of Fallowfield Twp passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 6, 2023 Born on September 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Joseph and Grace (Ricotta) Gibino Joe was born in North Charleroi and raised in Dunlevy, attending the Charleroi area schools His parents built, owned, and operated the White Barn Cafe (now White Barn Supper Club) in Dunlevy Joe attended Penn State University, then California State Teachers College (now PennWest California) and taught secondary math at California High School He was then employed as a machinist at the Allenport plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp for over 32 years In addition to his work as a machinist, he also worked part-time for many years as a contractor building several homes, room additions, installing roofing, etc He was an avid sports fan and followed the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins as well as watching college football games Joe is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Dominick Gibino He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Marjorie; as well as his 4 daughters, Tina Smith (Paul), Sandra Kulwicki (Jim), Karen Vollstedt (Phil), and Debra Holliday (Christian); his 11 grandchildren, Joe (Kenzi), Zachary (Ali), Alex (Courtney), Nicholas (Kara), Jakob, Justin, Jessica, Jimmy, Samuel, Dylan, and Gianna; and 3 great-grandchildren, Oliver, Gwendolyn, and Liam; sister, Anna Louise Kerr, of Catlett, VA; aunt, Anna Van Fleet, of Redstone Highlands, Greensburg; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins He will be sadly missed by his family and friends including his 2 cats, Tigger and Rambo, and Frasco the Collie His family would like to thank Anova Hospice Care, his nurses for their excellent care, and his three therapy cats, Maui, Karbon, and Kleopatra To honor Joe's wishes, there will be no services or visitation Donations in his memory can be made to the Acoustic Neuroma Association at www anausa org

Eleanor Welsh Owens, 90, of Belle Vernon, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Dunlevy Manor, Dunlevy. Born May 2, 1931 in Belle Vernon, PA she was the daughter of the late James B. and Mildred O. Griffith Welsh. A resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Owens was a member of Fayette City Presbyterian Church, Fayette City. She did her 'day work', was affectionately known as the 'Cookie Lady' for the many cookies she baked and gave out to everyone and she took pride with her cleaning and keeping an immaculately clean house. She is survived by daughter & son in law Susan & Terry Lape of Washington Twp. , son & daughter in law James & Debbie Owens of Fayette City, son & daughter in law William & Robin Owens of Belle Vernon, son Herb Owens of Ohio, son & daughter in law Tim & Lane Owens of Colorado, friend and niece Becky Miller, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Owens and daughter Lori Vargo, infant daughter Judith, two brothers William & James Welsh and sister Virginia Miller. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 pm followed by funeral services at 4 pm with the at the Rev. Mary Kay Glunt of First Presbyterian Church, Belle Vernon officiating at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Private family interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Geraldine E. (Nicklow) Lenhart, age 89, of Dunlevy, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at home. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Monongahela where she was ordained as a deaconist in 1967. She attended Dunbar Twp. High School. Born July 19, 1931 in Pitner, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Edith P. (Stull) Nicklow and wife of the late Lawrence C. Lenhart. She is survived by daughter, Deborah L. (the late Ronald) Albeck of Boston; grandson, Timothy Lenhart of Altoona; brother, Robert D. (Pamela) Nicklow Sr. of Forward Twp.; her puppy Molly; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Robert L. Lenhart, and brothers, Raymond, Harry, Donald and Melvin Nicklow. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects. The family would like to express their understanding to those who are unable to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Robert D. Nicklow Jr. and Elder Joshua Nicklow officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
