Obituary of Jonathan Tomlinson Jonathan "Jon" Dayton Tomlinson, 68, of Memphis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at his home. Cremation was chosen and Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville has been entrusted with his care. Jon was born on December 28, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Jonathan and Marie Catherine Tomlinson. Jon moved to Arizona and was working for the Grand Canyon National Park when he met the love of his life, Kathy Rush. After they married, they continued to live in Arizona for 7 years before relocating back to Memphis, Indiana. Jon was an artist, a potter, painter, woodworker and avid fisherman. He had a very outgoing personality and was a friend to all he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jon is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy Rush Tomlinson; four siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
