Weslaco- On September 8, 2023, the heavens gained an angel as our beloved Jonathan Ryan Molina peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 9, 1992, to his loving parents Gustavo and Beatriz Molina. A cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend, Jonathan's departure has left an indescribable void in the hearts of all who knew him. Born and raised in Weslaco, Jonathan's soul was forever connected to his Texan roots. He brought joy and laughter wherever he went, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. An avid music enthusiast, Jonathan found solace in the rhythm and melodies of rock music, which accompanied him throughout his life's journey. Jonathan had an unwavering passion for sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. Additionally, he loved watching UFC battles, finding excitement in the intensity and skill showcased by the fighters. Whether engaging in friendly banter or sharing moments of victory with loved ones, Jonathan's love for sports was a cornerstone of his life. Family meant everything to Jonathan, and he embraced his role as a devoted son and brother. His infectious laughter and mischievous sense of humor brought warmth and unity to family gatherings. Jonathan is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gilbert Molina and his maternal grandparents; Mr. Domingo Cantu & Mrs. Rita Cantu. Jonathan's life will forever be cherished by his mother Beatriz, father Gustavo, sister Alexis G. Molina, grandmother Abelina Molina, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation for Jonathan Ryan Molina is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at La Blanca Community Cemetery in La Blanca. Jonathan's life was a testament to love, laughter, and the power of genuine connections. While his departure has left us longing for more time together, we find solace in the memories that will forever hold his light within our hearts. May his beautiful soul rest in eternal peace. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.

Weslaco -Amador Coronado Perez, beloved father, hard worker, and friend to many, passed away on November 30, 2023, at McAllen Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 13, 1961, in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Amador's life was defined by his dedication to his family and his strong work ethic. Amador married his childhood sweetheart, Maria. The couple knew each other when they were in diapers and remained together until Maria's untimely passing in 2011. Amador never remarried. Throughout his career, Amador worked for himself as a landscaper and lawn mower. He tirelessly serviced countless mid-valley homes with care and attention to detail. His commitment to his work was evident in the well-kept lawns and beautifully landscaped gardens that he left behind. Amador will be remembered for his sense of humor and warm heart. Amador's love for cooking outdoors was another aspect of his life that brought joy to those close to him. Gathering with friends and family around a sizzling grill was one of his favorite pastimes. Amador had some recipes that he perfected over the years, one of which was his charro beans. As a father, Amador was both strict and loving. He instilled essential values in his children while showering them with affection. His guidance shaped their lives and taught them the importance of hard work and perseverance. Amador's children will forever cherish the memories they shared as a family. Amador also enjoyed riding his bike and playing the lottery in his free time. These activities brought him moments of relaxation and excitement. Amador is preceded in death by his parents, Amador and Felicita Coronado, his loving wife, Maria, and brothers, Simon, Juan, Ezequiel, Jose Luis, and Damian Coronado. He is survived by daughters Nancy Coronado (Joseph Martinez) and Alondra Coronado (Eric Rangel), sons Amador Coronado Jr and Carlos D. Coronado, siblings Arturo Coronado (Carmen), Amparo Coronado (Emiliano), Socorro Coronado, Francisca Alejandra Coronado (Juan Carlos Gonzalez), Rosa Coronado, Maria Guadalupe Coronado, grandchildren, Markus and Derrick Martinez, Einar Rangel, Isabela and Evelyn Coronado, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 3rd, from 1-9 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.Show more
