"John M. Taylor, age 77, of Holly, MI died on April 22, 2023. John was born in Pontiac, MI on June 12, 1945 to his parents Devota and Wilbur Taylor. John was the beloved husband of Christine for 52 years, father of; Craig (Richelle), Steven and David (Allison), papa to; Drew, Alex, Olivia, Zack and Luke. He is also survived by his sisters; Sharlene Peter, Mary Sue Arnold, Jenice Taylor, Patty Ross and brother Tom. He is preceded in death by his parents Devota and Wilbur, brothers; Bill and Jim, and sister Yvonne. John was a decorated Vietnam veteran. He was awarded Marksman (Riffle M-14), Expert (Riffle M-14), Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. John worked for GM truck and Bus for over 40 years and served his community on the Holly Village Council. Visitations will be held on Sunday April 30, 2023 from 4-8PM and Monday May 1, 2023 from 2-9PM at the Dryer Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2023 (Time Pending) at St. Rita Catholic Church in Holly, MI followed by burial and military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
