John Tanksley passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 2, at the age of 51 in Richardson, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Tom Tanksley and Susie Tucker. He graduated from North Mesquite High School and went on to attend Full Sail University where he earned a degree in Recording Arts. He met and married his wonderful wife, Tanya, while living in California before moving back to Texas. John was a loving husband, patient foster parent, attentive son, dependable sibling, and faithful friend. He was as funny as he was smart and kind. He was always there for the people he loved and was always willing to help. He loved burgers, the Cowboys and, most of all, his family. He never missed a family celebration and was looked up to, literally and figuratively, by his nieces and nephews. John will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Tanya; his foster daughter, Elizabeth; his mom and step-dad, Susie and Roland; his dad and step-mom, Tom and Signe; his younger brother, James and James' daughter Zoya; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Matthew and their children, Katie, Noah, Jack and Claire; and many, many other loved ones. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 10:00a. m. at Household Of Faith, 1550 Wynn Joyce, Garland, TX 75043. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

George Green Anderson was born on 28 July 1935 in Danville, Pittsylvania, Virginia. He graduated from Georgetown High School and enrolled at the University of Texas, Austin, where he received his degree as a Mechanical Engineer. Upon graduation, he served in the U. S. Army as a 1st Lt. stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland where he was an instructor in the armory. Upon discharge, he was employed at DuPont de Nemours, Inc. out of Wilmington, Delaware, and was a south coast regional supervisor in the area of refrigeration from Florida to the southwest coast of Texas. After retiring from DuPont, he was recruited by the Miter Corporation in Washington D. C. to sit on the government's side of the table to review major contracts and was later transferred to their Miter Tech Division where he was responsible for the storage and disposal of chemical and nuclear weaponry. He wrote the manual which is still in use today. He is predeceased by his son, Keith George Anderson, and his parents, Capt. William Witt Anderson III and Virginia Green Anderson, his brother, William Witt Anderson IV, brother Brent Williams Anderson, and sister Virginia "Jenkie" Lea Anderson Sivells. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Mize Anderson, his daughter Ruthellen Anderson Gruber, husband Paul, and children Anthony David, Ellen Grace, and Keith Paul Gruber; daughter Jennifer Lea Anderson Kersh and husband Howard. Also by his adoptive children, Lowell Moon, Jr. and wife Kelly, Rick Schneider, husband of his daughter Kimberly, daughter Tricia Layne Moon and children Caroline Rae, Steven Lowell, and Samuel David, and daughter Marcia Moon Chandler and husband Russell and children Lucas Wyatt Bloemke and wife Haley, and daughter Katherine Blair Bloemke Meek and husband Bart. He was a lifelong Baptist, preceded by generations of missionaries to Africa and China. He was a member of the Fellowship Class at First Baptist Church, Richardson, TX, where he led the singing and also used his beautifully trained tenor voice to sing in the "Goldenaires", under the leadership of Gerald Ware, for many years, traveling with the choir over much of the U. S. , performing at many locales. He joined the heavenly choir on _____ 2023 at age 88. He and Joyce lived a fairy tale life - square dancing, line dancing, round dancing, clogging, camping all across the nation, traveling abroad many times, and his truest love - motorcycling. He was a devoted Christian, a steadfast husband, a loving and giving father, an anointed Deacon, a Bible Teacher, and a musician, respected and admired by all who knew him. He has left a vacancy that can never be filled - until we meet again.Show more

Always faithful, loving, and generous, Robert "Bob" L. Davis, 93, of Waco, TX, but formerly a 50+ year resident of Richardson, TX, passed away with family present at Wesley Woods Rehabilitation and Care Center on December 2, 2023. : 2PM Thursday, December 7 at Lake Shore Funeral Home On June 5, 1930, Bob was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Asa and Anice (West) Davis. After graduating from high school, he attended a two-year business school and later, also went to Morningside College in Sioux City IA for an additional two years. In April of 1951, Bob married Helen Armstrong in Indianapolis, Indiana, just before serving in the U. S. Army from 1952 - 1953. Soon after they began raising their family in Indianapolis, but his 43 years with Mobil Oil Corp. took them to St. Louis, MD; Sioux City, IA; Sioux Falls, SD; and finally, to Dallas, TX. As his parents owned a Mobil gas station, Bob was loyally affiliated with this company from birth through his retirement as manager of product distribution for Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. From a young age, Bob was a competitive baseball player having been a first stringer in high school through semi-pro baseball. Among other awards and accolades he was especially proud that he was chosen as the tournament's most valuable player in the championship game where his team lost. Also, Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman sharing his knowledge and skills with his children, younger in-laws, and grandchildren. Bob and his wife Helen faithfully served as active members of First United Methodist Church in Richardson, TX since 1973. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Davis; parents; and sister, Marilyn. He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Julia Day (Richard), and Carol Keil (Ken); seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Linda Ray Connor, 75, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2023, after a blessedly wonderful Thanksgiving with her loved ones. She was born on January 15, 1948, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Arlie and Juanita Ray. In her passing, she will be reunited with her parents, as well as her dear sister, Patricia Roberts, and her beloved dog, Ozzy. Linda was a woman of unwavering love and grace. She exemplified the virtues of kindness, thoughtfulness, and selflessness throughout her life. Her fierce spirit touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her son, daughter-in-law, two treasured grandchildren, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many beloved grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also deeply cherished by her past love and the current love of her life. Educated at Ennis High School, Linda graduated with the Class of 1966, then pursued higher education at Texas Tech University. Linda dedicated over 35 years of her professional life to Rockwell-Collins, where she embarked on a remarkable journey from a data-entry typist to becoming the first female program manager in the division's history. Her exceptional leadership skills and unwavering work ethic earned her numerous accolades for program management excellence. Linda was admired and respected by her colleagues and customers alike. Outside of her career, Linda found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Kelly Leedham Johnson, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on November 18, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories. She was born on October 8, 1978, to Lance Leedham and Tracy (Thomas) Prince in Dallas, Texas. Kelly was a proud graduate of Plano East High School, Class of 1997, and continued her education at Collin College in Frisco. Her passion for making a difference in the lives of others shone brightly through her commitment to volunteering for the homeless. Devoted to her children, Kelly loved to plan family vacations. She always picked the perfect place. Kelly especially enjoyed west coast beaches and natural parks in Oklahoma. A lover of nature, Kelly found solace and joy in activities such as spending time with family, being near the ocean, and planning and embarking on exciting trips. Her adventurous spirit was complemented by a deep appreciation for family, and she often sought opportunities to be surrounded by loved ones. She changed lives with her kindness. Kelly is survived by her loving husband, Matthew B. Johnson of Richardson, Texas. She leaves behind her daughter, Madelyn Shae Powers of Garland, Texas; her son, Andrew Cole Powers and wife, Emily, of Sachse, Texas, as well as grandson, Callum Powers; sister, Brandi Erwin, and husband, Ryan, of Las Vegas, Texas; mother, Tracy Lynne Prince, and husband, Thomas, of McKinney, Texas; father, Lance Leedham, and wife, Lee, of Lake Dallas, Texas; and her grandmother, Margaret Thomas of Pottsboro, Texas. Kelly was preceded in death by her brother, Grant Leedham, and her grandfather, Don Thomas.
