John Curtis Swix, born May 30, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant, MI, 71, of Grand Ledge, MI passed away on June 16, 2022, son of J. C. and Ilene (Reed) Swix. John was a graduate of Holt High School class of 1970, and worked as a diesel mechanic for Coca-Cola until he retired in 2013. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and belonged to Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B. A. S. S). John was a dedicated family man who loved his family and kids. Judith Ann (Buchanan) Swix, born June 14, 1952 in Detroit, MI, 68, of Grand Ledge, MI passed away on June 13, 2021, daughter of Edward and Mary (Ringline) Buchanan. Judith worked as a waitress, assisted living, and home health care. Judith and John were married for 47 years. John and Judith are survived by their sons: Timothy (Rebecca) Swix, Jeremy (Nancy) Swix, and Joe Swix; grandchildren: Taylor Swix, Trevor (Mercedes) Swix, Jayson Swix, Delaina (Tommy) Green, and Breana Malloy; great granddaughter Paisley Swix. John is also survived by his mother Ilene; sisters, Gail (Marty) Thompkins and Darcey Heyser, brother-in-law Mike Straface, and his large network of friends. He is preceded in death by his father J. C. , wife Judy, and sister, Renae Straface. Judith is also survived by her siblings: Margie McKinney, Diane (Chuck) Rabey, and John Buchanan; brother-in-law John Snody. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Cindy Snody and Nancy Kulp; brother-in-law Jeff McKinney. There will be no services at this time.
