Mr. John Lawrence Rumage, age 78, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on March 15, 1945 in Evansville, Indiana. He was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Kaelin Rumage. He was raised in the Catholic faith and was a graduate of Mater Dei High School in Evansville, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Judy Ann Lewallen Adams on January 11, 1969 in Evansville, Indiana. This happy union was blessed to raise five children. He was a certified electrician having worked for Elf Ato Chem in Carrollton, Kentucky for many years. John and Judy moved to Inverness, Florida residing there for 16 years. He began a career as the city electrician and maintenance man for 11 years with the City of Inverness. They returned home to Madison in 2013 and John enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR, earlier in life he raced midget cars and stock cars and loved to sing to his wife every morning. He was a member of the Hanover Masonic Lodge No. 652 F. & A. M. where he served as a past master. John was a very social man who enjoyed having fun with his family and friends. John died on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 3:17 p. m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY John will be missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy Ann Lewallen Adams Rumage of Madison, Indiana; his daughters, LeAnn Adams Frisch of Madison, Indiana, Linda Adams Bailey and her companion, Mike Bath of Madison, Indiana, Judi Rumage Baker of Madison, Indiana, Stacy Rumage Bilz and her husband, William of Madison, Indiana; his son, John Rumage and his spouse, Loren Blattenberger of Angola, New York; his grandchildren, James Clint Walker, Sam Harmon, Ryan Harmon, Brandon Gatke, Morgan Jester, Jenna Jester, Michael Burress, and Olivia Greenhill; numerous great grandchildren; his sisters, Catherine Dorothy Beaven of Fenton, Missouri, Jeri Kempf of Evansville, Indiana, Jenny Grose of Evansville, Indiana, Barbara Heneisen of Eureka, Missouri, Dolores Alber and her husband, John of Apalachicola, Florida; his brother in law, Ron Anderson of Cadiz, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rumage, his mother, Catherine Kaelin Rumage, his brothers, Joseph Rumage and James Rumage, his sisters, Irene Kaiser, Mary Rose Rumage, Paulette Anerson, and her grandson, Nicholas Walker. CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONYMemorial services will be conducted Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 7:00 pm, by Bro. Bob Hicks at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 p. m. - 7:00 p. m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana. MASONIC SERVICEHanover Masonic Lodge No. 652 F. & A. M. will conduct services on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 7:30 p. m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
