Paul Bauer

Paul Bauer

Age - 77

November 2, 2023

Paul was born in Unionville, Michigan on June 6,1946 to Harold Bauer and Ella Mull. He was the eldest of 9 children and he cared for each and every sibling throughout his young life. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Nona Engelhardt and Connie Grant. After graduation at Unionville High in 1964 he joined the U. S. Air Force as a radio operator. During this time, he was led to Security Detail for President Nixon in 1970 and an Honorable discharge in 1973 as Staff Sgt. Once discharged he began his education in Design Engineering at Prince George's Community College and then completed his education in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland. This led him to a prominent career in San Diego, Ca. It was in 1988 that he found the love of his life Lennda Louise Larsen whom he married on April 15, 1989. Along with Lennda came three living children Robbie Bauer, Joseph Aspaas and Yolennda "Summer" Kennedy. For 35 years we all shared love, laughter, growth, and challenges contributing to each other's lives. Since Paul's passing, I have envisioned that he is now with my departed son Eric Aspaas. Paul was the greatest of all grandfathers! Yolennda's children Nicole Thomas (husband Rich Carl), Noelle Thomas (husband Kyle Volkmann), Angel Hivoina, Mandi Hivoina and Robbie Bauer's daughter Brianna Bauer were the first round of grandchildren he got to enjoy. Robbie Bauer and Mandi Noel gave Paul two additional grandchildren, Liam Asher Noel-Bauer, his only grandson, and Cali Mae Noel-Bauer, the youngest of our granddaughters. He had the privilege of also being a Great grandpa to Brianna Bauer's daughter Aubree. As you see Paul had a full life with tons of love! Although very highly trained, Paul was an extremely gentle and nurturing man in his senior years, and he kept us all safe. We did not have to worry about being harmed with him as our protector. Paul spoiled me, watched over me and made sure I was getting everything I needed. Not always what I wanted. We all love Paul with all of our hearts, and we will never be the same without him. NEVER! Our hearts are still breaking, and we have so much we want to say, however we need to respect the amount of space we take. I am hoping you all will write your forever memories of Paul so we can see him through your eyes as well. There will be a graveside ceremony at Miramar National Cemetery on November 20,2023. The timing is prompt! The line up time begins at 1:30 pm PST and the ceremony is at 2:00 pm PST. The address is: 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, Ca. 92122 There will be a reception following the service at 4:00 pm PST at the VFW Post 3783 located at 2247 Kelly Avenue, Ramona California, 92065 phone number 760-789-7888. In loving memory of Judith "Judy" Burt Mizaur, who passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 83 in Ramona, California. Judy was born on November 11, 1939, in Wausau, Wisconsin. A few years, she moved with her family to Skokie, Illinois where she spent her childhood with her brother, David. Judy graduated from Niles East High School in 1957. She attended Depauw University in Greencastle Indiana where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. She also obtained her Teaching Certificate from Northwestern University. Early in her career, Judy was a dedicated Kindergarten teacher and used her creativity to design her classroom and lesson plans. After many years of devoting herself to raising her two daughters, Judy became a realtor, an editor in the corporate learning industry, and an accomplished salesperson. Judy was passionate about nature and the environment, animals, art and music, world cultures and travel, science and the cosmos. She channeled her creative talents and beautiful singing voice toward her family and friends; with oil paintings of scenic landscapes that decorated her home, sweet notes and drawings from the Tooth Fairy, elaborately wrapped gifts and decorations on Christmas mornings, holiday letters, songs she sang at family events and to her daughters, a children's story inspired by the antics of chipmunks outside her home, and poems written to family members. As an animal lover, she enjoyed her horses, goats and dogs. She especially loved her horse Belle Star and first Labrador, Duchess. Judy experienced the outdoors through horseback riding and hiking in the mountains, deserts and forests. She was also an avid amateur astronomer and often stayed up many nights to witness cosmic events unfold. Judy also enjoyed tennis and golf. As part of her community in the San Diego Country Estates, she was a board member and president of the San Vicente Women's Golf Club and a founding member of the Smash Gals tennis team. Judy was a loving wife, dedicated parent, and an adoring grandparent and great grandparent. She was the sweetest and most caring person, with a bright and friendly smile that she shared generously. Judy is survived by her loving husband Don Mizaur, daughters Cindy Potter Leidig (Philip Leidig) and Vivian Potter Fiore (Richard Fiore), grandsons Ryan Leidig (Kel DeVille), Trevor Leidig (Ali Kepple) and Jason Fiore, great granddaughter Nova Leidig and great grandson Kane Leidig, sister-in-law Betty Burt, nephews Lawrence Burt (Maureen Burt), Steven Burt (Toddy Burt) and Michael Burt (Teri Burt).
