John "JJ" J. Murphy, Jr. , age 74, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022. A celebration of Mr. Murphy's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 4925 Centre Dr. , Wilmington, NC 28403. A viewing will be held one (1) hour prior to the service. His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Eremaine Murphy of the home; children, Carl M. Murphy (Melissa) and Cynthia E. Pratt (Lynn) both of Wilmington; siblings, James "Skip" Smith, Jr. of Dayton, OH, Renee Smith of Columbus, OH, Diane Nixon (Don) of Castle Hayne), Janice Murphy and Karen Murphy both of Wilmington, Michael Murphy of Virginia and Julius Brinkley of Maryland, seven grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
