John Edward Moore John Edward Moore, 77, of Hollywood, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. He was born on December 3, 1941, in Albemarle County, the son of the late Lacy Morton Moore and Blanche Evelyn Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles "Moe" Moore, James "Jay" Moore, and Ernest Moore; and two sisters: Betty Tate and Mary Stanaland. John retired as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed his chewing tobacco, spending time with family and friends, watching sports on TV and anything to do with fishing. John was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Orioles, and the late Dale Earnhardt. He is survived by two sisters: Margaret Durham of Scottsville and Pauline Harmon of Charlottesville; along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Scottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
