John Carl Moore, 55, Russiaville, passed away at 11:00 am Friday, September 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 1, 1968, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Jack & Maryellen (Anderson) Moore. On December 9, 2000, in Key West, Florida, he married Heather King who survives. John was a 1986 graduate of North Central High School. He retired from Bone Dry Roofing. John was an outdoorsy guy who loved playing golf, camping, fishing, target shooting and kayaking. He also loved anything to do with space, especially astrology and looking at the stars. John cherished the time that he spent with his family and having bonfires. Along with his wife Heather, John is also survived by his mother, Maryellen Moore; children, Jacob Moore and Jansen Moore; siblings, Judy (Bob) Albert, Joan Hobbs, Jerry (Juliet) Hobbs, Jim (Gretchen) Moore and Joe Moore, along with several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his father, Jack Moore. The family would like to give a special thank you to Bone Dry Roofing for their care and generosity of John and his family during his illness along with Guardian Angel Hospice and nurse Angie. In keeping with John's wishes, no services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Betty Jean Tyler, age 74, of Russiaville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born March 16, 1949 in Kokomo, Indiana, to Richard and Bernadean (Hickman) Beheler, where she grew up. She met and fell in love with Charles L. Tyler when she was 10 years old, telling a friend she would marry him some day, and she did! They were married May 6, 1967 and had 2 children. She loved shopping with best friend Debbie Lewis and sisters-in-law Sharon and Sue Tyler. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, when she would bake cookies and make candies. She loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She was a second momma to all the neighborhood kids. She will be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to have known her. Betty is survived by daughter, Kelly Prifogle & other half, David Roberts; son, Chuck Tyler & other half, Nancy Randolph; granddaughters, Deseree' (Sean) White, Heather (Bob) Best, Bobbi Bolen, and Alyssa Tyler & other half, Sam Patane; brothers, Jim (Heidi) Beheler, and Dick Beheler; as well as 6 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews (including her favorite, Mary Nail). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles L. Tyler; brother, Don Beheler; and sisters, Peggy Cole and Joyce Haworth. Danny Eugene Bowman, 51, of Russiaville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning August 22, 2023, by means of a car accident. He was born in Marion, IN, on April 24, 1972, the son of the late Danny Lee Bowman and Rebecca Hardin. On December 16, 2005, he married Kelly Swick, and she survives. Danny was a 1991 graduate of Kokomo High School. He was currently employed by the Howard County Highway Department as a truck driver. He formerly worked at the Kinsey Youth Center in maintenance. Danny had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Center Road Church of Christ. He was a kind man, a people person, and he would help anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and camping. He was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, and he was passionate about his pet dogs. Danny will be remembered for his famous salsa recipe. In addition to his wife Kelly, he is survived by his children, Emily Bowman, Autumn Jackson, Matthew Jackson; grandchildren, Caleb Bowman, John Bishop; siblings, Teresa Graham, David (Sarah) Bowman; paternal grandfather, Eugene Bowman; mother-in-law, Debbie Norris; father-in-law, John Swick; brother-in-law, Mark Swick; two nieces; one nephew; several aunts, uncles, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Lee Bowman; mother, Rebeca Hardin; and several extended family members. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday September 2, 2023, at Center Road Church of Christ, 899 West 300 South, Kokomo, IN 46902. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm on Saturday at the church with Pastor Lynn Brust and Elder Clint Erickson officiating. Burial will follow in the Russiaville Cemetery. Phillip Jay Williams, 59, of Russiaville, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, in his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on August 24, 1963, in South Bend, Indiana, to Herman "Red" Williams and Judith (Mould) Toles. On August 19, 1995, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, he married Kelly Mahaney, and she survives. He was a graduate of South Bend Riley High School and earned an HVAC certificate from Ivy Tech Community College. Phil retired from General Motors in 2023. Prior to working at GM, he was the manager at Aldi. He was a fan of Cubs baseball, Notre Dame football and the Indy 500. He enjoyed attending these with family and friends. He loved being on the lake, fishing, kayaking, spending time with his family and traveling. He also enjoyed volunteering for the Jim "Moose" Carden Kids Fishing Clinic. His family and friends loved him and will miss him greatly. Surviving is his wife, Kelly Williams of Russiaville; three children, Brook Harshman of Kokomo, Blake Williams of Kokomo, and Alyson (Tyler) Yoars of Arcadia; mother, Judith Toles; mother-in-law, Kathleen McBee (Steven Cormier), father-in-law, Kenneth Mahaney and stepmother, Marie Williams; siblings, Tom (Nila) Crowe, Ed (Marilyn) Williams, Cheryl (Rob) Mitchell, Donna (Gary) Mitschelen, Kevin (Amy) Williams, Todd (Tammy) Williams, and Teri (Tim) Moore. brother-in-law, Ryan (Sarah) McBee; and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Preceding him in death were his father, Herman "Red" Williams of South Bend, and brothers, Bob Williams and Larry Williams. A celebration of life will be held on August 18, 2023, from 5pm-9pm at the Columbian Club of Kokomo, 1631 Foxfire Ln, Kokomo, IN.
