John H. - Of Flint, age 87, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at his residence. Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Jeffrey Glover officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harmony Baptist Church. Visitation 1-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. John was born in Wynne, Arkansas on February 11, 1935, the son of the late John W. and Lucile (Morris) Grantham. On December 10, 1955, he married Norma Smethwick and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2021. John was a minister for 50 years and a former pastor at Harmony Baptist Church. John was a loving husband, father and grandpa. Surviving are son, Mark and wife Debbie Grantham; Grandchildren, Stephanie, Johanna and Adam Grantham, Jena and husband Austin Cook, Taylor Grantham and Dylan Grantham; Great-grandchildren, Gaven, Gracyn, Emmerie, Levi and Stella; Sister, Linda and husband Jerry Graves; And nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Timothy Lee and Stephen Allan. Special thank you to Kindred Hospice and all his church family at Harmony Baptist Church.
