"John Paul Earl, a resident of Wynnewood, OK, was born on January 13, 1935 in Idabel, OK to Mabel German Earl and Paul Carr Earl. He passed away on September 9, 2023 in Sulphur, OK at the age of 88. John Earl married Betty (Stevens) on February 11, 1954 in Wynnewood, OK and they spent their lives together until she preceded him in death in 2008. John had worked at Uniroyal tire where he retired from. John Earl was a member of the Methodist Church. John fought for his country during the Korean War in the US Navy. He was also a member of the Wynnewood Fire Department for many years before his retirement and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, grandchildren - Tiffany, Cory, and Tammy Lane, and 2 brothers - Jimmy Earl and Wendell Pole. He is survived by his daughters - Randy Ennis, and Sandy Myers and husband Danny, 2 grandchildren - Justin Myers and partner Serena, and Coven Myers, Special Great Grandchild - Bobbye Myers, and 2 Bonus Great Grandchildren - Skyler and Hunter Parnell, a sister - JoAnn Kelly and husband Bill, 2 brothers - Stewart Earl of Broken Bow, OK, and Ricky Pole and wife Anna of Broken Bow, OK. Jamie grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and attend school at Capital Hill. On July 28, 2010, Jamie married Garry Dean Eastwood in Gainesville, Texas. She was a homemaker who enjoyed puzzles, watching tv, and especially loved time spent visiting with family and friends. She will be remembered for the corner fish fries that were shared with her neighbors and friends. She will be missed by many. "Lloyd Harold Green, 68, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023. Harold was born on October 30, 1954 to Lloyd Harris and Alta Faye Green, He attended Wynnewood Public Schools where he graduated in 1973. While in school, Harold was highly active in FFA. After school he went to work at Kellwood in Pauls Valley where he met his wife, Deborah, the two got married on April 28, 1978 in Gainesville, Texas. In the fall of 1978, he went to work for Haliburton in Davis and in the fall of 1992, Harold attended truck driving school in Drumwright, Oklahoma where he obtained his CDL. After getting his CDL, he drove trucks for Stillwater Milling Company until the fall of 1997, where he then went and started with Werner Trucking Company hauling long distant freight. You could say truck driving was his life, in the fall of 2000 he started at Curwood (Bemis) and worked there until his retirement in November of 2019. Harold enjoyed going to rodeos, riding horses, welding and building things with metal, going to horse sales, auctions, wagon trains, taking his daughter to horse events and a deep love for Ford trucks. He enjoyed Sunday drives with his wife, taking naps with his cat Iron Will, and he loved seeing new babies during foaling season. Most of all, Harold was a big family man and enjoyed spending time with them; loved telling a good story and never met a stranger. During his adult life he was involved in the Wynnewood Roundup Club, 4-H Horse Club, and the 89ers Wagon Train. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Alta Green; grandson, Adriel Leverett. Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Deborah Lynn (Jones) Green; daughters, April Leverett and husband J. R. ; Suprina Green; Dalenna Green-Price and husband Zachary; grandchildren, Abigail Leverett, Adelynn Leverett, Rein Price and Rope Price; sister, Judy Kile and companion Bill Lendermen; a host of many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him. Robert grew up and graduated high school in Wynnewood. He had worked for Dollar General and the City of Pauls Valley as well as other vocations in his life. Robert was a great father, brother, and friend. He was a simple man, give him a pot of coffee, OSU football, a "nip" and some pork rinds and he was happy! He loved hanging out with friends, taking walks, and listening to classic R \u0026amp; B music. As you read this wipe those tears away because you know he wouldn't want that. Instead smile, look up in the sky, and give him a go pokes to let him know you will be okay. She passed from this life on Monday September 18, 2023 in OKC, OK at the age of 77. Mrs. Gilley grew up in Wynnewood and graduated Wynnewood High School in 1964. She married Bob Gilley on August 6, 1965 and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2017 . She had worked for and retired from the Pauls Valley State School and also spent some time working for the Wynnewood school system. Mrs. Gilley was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Wynnewood. Sarah Louella \u0026quot;Cookie\u0026quot; Gilley was a woman of Christ. She enjoyed going to church, gardening in her flower gardens where she won \u0026quot;best yard\u0026quot; in town. She also enjoyed exercising. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved spending time with her grandkids who called her Nana Cookie. Sarah loved helping others even when she wasn\u0027t able. She fought a long, vigorous battle with cancer. She loved so many and was loved by so many. She will forever be missed but her memory will live on forever. "Patsy Green, a lifelong resident of Wynnewood, OK, was born on February 24, 1931 in Joy, OK, to Biddie Mae (Fox) and Thomas Richard Wilson. She passed away on September 21, 2023 in Norman, OK at the age of 92. Patsy married LaDon Green on September 2, 1950 in Wynnewood, OK and they spent their lives together until he preceded her in death on August 14, 1997. She had spent many years at the Pauls Valley National Bank before her retirement. From her three loving children: Mom was a great cook and found her joy preparing for her family. She enjoyed golfing with friends and also enjoyed cookouts with the Musgroves and Robbersons. Her favorite judge was her husband LaDon, he would hover over her until she ran him out of the kitchen. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her husband Ladon, Patsy was preceded in death by 10 sisters and a brother. "Anita Lou Smithson, 82, of Wynnewood, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at her home in Wynnewood. She was born on January 12, 1941, in Amarillo, Texas to the late J. B. Ayres and Jaunita Hall Ayres. She was raised in Dalhart, Texas where she attended school. Anita was the Football Home Coming Queen and XIT Best Cowgirl. She and her classmates have stayed in touch for the past 64 years. Anita married Clauson Smithson on June 14, 1959, in Dalhart. In 1973 they moved to Madill, Oklahoma where they owned and operated the Smithson Saddle Shop and Ranch. In 1991 they moved to Pauls Valley for a short time before moving to Wynnewood where she lived the rest of her life. She worked as a Certified Reflexologist and Massage Therapist. Anita also worked as the Madill Church of Christ Secretary, Pettijohn Springs Christian Camp Secretary and cook. She worked as Exercise Director at the Willows Assisted Living, Office Manager and Sales for Shelley's Livestock Photography and Frankie's Photos for County and Oklahoma Youth Expo. Anita was a member of the Church of Christ where she was very active, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She served as 4-H leader at Madill and Tyrone, and she was a member of the Pauls Valley Garden Club. Anita enjoyed riding horses, floral decorations, working in her garden and following her grandkids' activities. She also enjoyed helping others with their pain, visiting the sick and elderly. He peacefully passed from this life on July 25, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He married Bernice Dickerson on March 17, 1956 and had 5 children. Tim, Joe, Rita, Penny and Callie He then married Rachel Williams on May 23, 1983 and acquired 3 bonus children Sandra, Jan, and Bob. James was a man of many trades He served our country in the United States Army National Guard. He studied Nursing and graduated top of his class. James, also did upholstering, worked as a butcher, singer and musician of of stringed instruments and the piano. His favorite of all was being a Minister and sharing the Gospel with all those he met. His hobbies included coin collecting, wood working , fishing, riding motorcycles, collecting guns, playing slow pitch softball and had a love for antique shopping and flash lights, He will be remembered for many things, but his love for Jesus and sharing the Gospel with everyone is number 1.
